You will arrive in Entebbe on a morning or evening flight and be met by your tour guide. You will be taken to your accommodation in Kampala where you will spend the night. Enjoy a delicious dinner and prepare for the beginning of your safari.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before embarking on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The road is long and takes between 8-9 hours but has many beautiful sights along the way and passes through magnificent landscapes. You will stopover at the equator crossing for some photographs and stop again for lunch and an opportunity to taste some local fruit. Make your way to Bunyaruguru for a beautiful sunset and enjoy the breathtaking savannah scenery while enjoying an evening game drive in the park.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile, providing good opportunities to encounter some of Africa’s greatest wildlife and a variety of birds. After about 4 hours of game viewing, you will return to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, you will take a boat ride along the famous Kazinga channel and get the chance to see some hippopotamus as well as many other creatures that frequent the river bank. You will then head back to your lodge for dinner.

After a relaxed breakfast, you will make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the famous mountain gorillas of Uganda. The drive will take you through an array of changing landscapes and mountain viewpoints, passing through the countryside and giving you a glimpse of the lives of the rural people that inhabit the area. After check-in, you will have some lunch and be able to relax before making your way to a Batwa village for a cultural experience and to learn about the pigmies who live in the forest before heading back for dinner.

Today is the day you will wake up and head out into the jungle for the ultimate safari experience, visiting the magnificent mountain gorillas. You will hike through the Bwindi Impenetrable forest in search of the gorillas for about 4 hours after receiving a briefing of what to expect. Upon finding the gentle giants, you will have a chance to sit with the animals and observe their behaviour for about an hour. You will have the opportunity to take some photographs and soak up the privileged experience before heading back to your lodge for dinner.

Enjoy a relaxed morning before having breakfast and slowly making your way to Kampala. Stop off for lunch, another equator crossing stopover and an opportunity to purchase some curios as reminders of your time in Uganda. Thereafter you will continue to Entebbe to catch your flight, marking the end of your trip with Jamie Jungle Safaris.
