Uganda

Guided, Small Group

Mid Range
Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds. We take you to explore nature with a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel and game drives in the national park.
From USD 857 per person
Our guides pick you up in Kampala in the morning and you have a drive with nice scenery ahead of you. Make a stop for coffee and photos at the Equator. Continue on through villages with cultivated areas until the lush green tea estates in a rich green belt before you reach the escarpment with magnificent endless views over Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have lunch either along the way or at the lodge, depending on the time. Check in to the lodge and if time allows go for an evening game drive to track members of the Big Five.
Overnight at Pumba Safari Cottages
An early morning game-drive exposes you to diverse animals and chances of seeing the Big Five. We bring along a picnic breakfast to enjoy out on the savanna. When driving along the circuits you may spot elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, warthog, hyena and many more species that are resident to this park. There is rich bird life in the park and many colourful birds can be seen. After lunch at the lodge you set off for the drive to the 3 pm boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. This is a highlight in the park and takes two hours. Kazinga Channel is 36 km and links Lake George and Lake Edward. Along the shores you have high chances of spotting hippo, crocodile, warthog, buffalo, elephant and many magnificent birds. After your boat cruise your guide will drive you back to the lodge for dinner.
Overnight at Pumba Safari Cottages
After a lazy breakfast you set off for a guided community walk through the villages covered with tea and cotton plantations until you reach the twin lakes with magnificent views of the Queen Elizabeth savannah plains and the surrounding areas. After taking photos, we embark on the drive to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator or in Mbarara for lunch, depending on the time. Arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon.
