This tour will take you through Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a variety of different species of mammals and birds, and the famous Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. Queen Elizabeth National Park is definitely among the world’s most bio diversified wildlife sanctuary featuring over 95 mammals species like leopards, lions, hyenas, hippos, African elephants, Cape buffaloes, warthogs and more. It also boasts the highest number of bird species than any other national park in Uganda.
From USD 1,200 per person
You will be received by your guide at the airport or your hotel, for the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Masaka Road. It’s a 6-hour drive, and we shall have lunch stopover in Masaka town and then drive to the park for dinner and overnight.
Start the day with early morning breakfast as you head for game drives that expose us to diverse animals including the Big Four i.e. elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and mammals like warthogs, antelopes, carnivores like hyenas and others, spotted along the tracks. The park also boasts the largest number of savannah, forest and water species of birds. After the drive you will be driven back to the hotel for lunch then go for a launch trip on the famous Kazinga Channel, a 36 km channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. Here you’ll see land and water animals such as hippos yawning, the Nile crocodile gaping along the banks and warthogs. With your binoculars along the peninsula, you’ll have a magnificent view of birds and animals like the ever-playing African elephants in the waters.
This morning you’ll go chimp trekking in Kalinzu Forest. Enjoy the walk through the forest and its fascinating meeting with different primate species and of course the famous chimpanzees, our point of focus as we walk along the forest. After the trek, embark on the drive back to Kampala via a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch and then Entebbe for your flight back home.
