Situated 53 km from Fort Dauphin (2:30-3:00 hrs off the beaten track), it streches along the border of the Anosy mountains and the dry plains of the south and gives you a good insight into the south region. Visit one of the Portuguese fortress ruins, built in the first century by shipwrecked men, who built the Bastion “Trano vato” to store weapons. The site is fit for rambles, during which you will enjoy amazing vegetation and flora. The tour takes you into the heart of the semi-dry / semi-wet forest of Andohahela National Reserve, an immersion in a magic universe, where you will relax and rest in a cool natural pool of Tsimilah, hollowed out in rosy-coloured stone!
