You are most welcome to Madagascar. You will be met on arrival at Ivato airport and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight: Antananarivo
After breakfast at the hotel, set off on the 4-hour drive to Antsirabe. On the road you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes, agriculture, rice fields and see the way of life of the local people. Arrive in Antsirabe, known for its colourful rickshaws and thermal springs.
Overnight: Antsirabe at Flower Palace
After breakfast at the hotel depart on the 5-hour drive to Ranomafana, with an optional quick stop at Ambositra, Madagascar’s handicrafts capital. Then continue the drive and arrive late afternoon in Ranomafana National Park. Opening night walk in the park with your English-speaking naturalist guide in search of endemic chameleons, frogs, insects, and mouse lemurs, and with luck, dwarf lemurs.

Breakfast at the hotel before a long day of discovery in Ranomafana National Park. The park is teeming with endemics, such as the critically endangered greater bamboo lemur, golden bamboo lemurs, Milne Edward’s sifaka, endemic chameleons, frogs, birds and plant species.
Have a picnic lunch in the park and afterwards walk down slowly to the small village around the park to see their way of life. On the way observe the cascade or waterfall, then keep walking through the plantations of vanilla, coffee and bananas, ending at a natural hot water pool. Take a swim in the hot water as a natural massage after the tour, then head back to the hotel at the end of the day. Take another night walk or relax at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure to Ambalavao, south of Fianarantsoa. Visit Anja Park, a community-run nature reserve and home to hundreds of happy-looking ring-tailed lemurs. This is a great opportunity for unique wildlife photos with your local naturalist guide and spotters. You may also see chameleons such as Oustalet’s chameleons. Continue the drive to Ranohira, the gateway to Isalo National Park.
Overnight at Isalo Ranch or similar (BB)
After breakfast head into Isalo National Park for a long day of discovery. Visit the famous Natural Pool and Namaza Canyon to see interesting landscapes characterized by amazing rock formations and to learn about Bara tribe’s culture, ring-tailed lemurs, special dancing lemurs and endemic birds. Plan a picnic lunch in the park at the blue or black pool. Then continue the hike and drive back to the hotel in the afternoon.
Overnight at Isalo Ranch or similar (BB)
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for the 4-hour drive to Toliara with amazing photo opportunities including colorful Mahafaly tombs and remarkable baobabs. Stop for a wildlife walk into Zombitse National Park to look for endemics including lemurs such as Verreaux’s sifaka and Hubbard’s sportive lemurs as well as reptiles such as chameleons.
Overnight: Victory Hotel (BB)
After an early breakfast, take a boat transfer to Anakao, a fishing village and one of the most beautiful beaches in Madagascar with white sugary sand, located in the south of Toliara. One of the highlights here is a whale safari (July-September) as well as visiting the small island of Vew where migratory birds can be spotted.
Overnight: Lalandaka
Enjoy leisure days on Anakao’s paradise beach – go whale wathcing, snorkelling, on boat cruises or just relax in this beautiful spot.
Overnight: Lalandaka
After breakfast take a boat transfer back to Toliara. Then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Antananarivo and on to your hotel.
Overnight: Lavillett or similar
After your breakfast, start the 3-hour drive to Andasibe. On the way you will enjoy the beautiful landscape of tropical forest, rice fields, waterfalls and villages as well as stopping for a couple of hours at Pyereras Reptile Reserve to see butterflies, chameleons, geckos and lemurs. Then continue the drive to Andasibe.
Overnight: Fehon’ny Ala Lodge
After breakfast, spend 4 to 6 hours discovering Andasibe National Park to see the endemic lemurs called Indri Indri, the largest lemurs in Madagascar. Search for more birds and chameleons, frogs, insects and snakes. Drive back to the hotel for lunch and afterwards visit Lemur Island to see more lemurs such as diademed sifaka, black and white ruffed lemur, eastern bamboo lemur, common brown lemur. Learn more about eco systems then drive back to the hotel.
Overnight: Fehon’ny Ala Lodge
After breakfast, drive back to Antananarivo for shopping of souvenirs and visiting the local market. Transfer to the airport for your flight back home and we will say “veloma”.
