Day by Day Overview

You are most welcome to Madagascar! I will meet you at Ivato international airport on your arrival and transfer you to your hotel in Antsirabe, known as the capital of rickshaws.

Overnight: at Flower Palace or similar (breakfast included)

After  breakfast at the hotel, get ready for the drive to Morondava. On the road you will enjoy the amazing landscapes, terrace rice fields and beautiful viewpoints. Stop for lunch on the road before arriving in Morondava for an overnight stay.

Overnight: Trecigone  Morondava  (breakfast included)

Today will be a 30-minute  drive to Baobab Avenue. We observe the baobab trees at sunrise  when the light is at its best. Then return to Morondava for breakfast an return on the same road to Antsirabe.

Overnight: Flower Place Hotel or similar

Today we will enjoy the plateau landscape from Antsirabe to Tana (Antananarivo) the most beautiful scenery, valleys and agriculture landscape. Lunch is in Tana, the capital city, then we enjoy the picturesque tropical rain forest and villages. We will stop at the Peryeras Reptile Reserve to see some of Madagascar’s most rare species including chameleons, geckos and snakes. Continue the  drive to Andasibe.

Overnight: Le Goyave Hotel or similar

Enjoy a day of discovery in Andasibe National Park and Analamazaotra Reserve to see the largest lemur species in Madagascar, called Indri Indri, as well as birds, snakes, frogs and more. Enjoy the primary rain forest and secondary forest to see the brown lemurs and red belt lemurs. Then drive back to the hotel for lunch. Afterwards, visit Lemur Island in Vakona Reserved to see more lemurs like Diademed sifaka, bamboo lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, black and white ruffed lemurs and friendly common brown lemurs.

Overnight: Le Goyave Hotel or similar

After breakfast transfer to Manambato and on to Tamatave for a lunch stop. Continue to the fishing village of Mahambo where you will get the boat to the island of Saint Marie the next day.

Overnight: Lapirogue Hotel or similar (breakfast included)

After breakfast, take the boat transfer to Saint Marie Island, arriving at about lunch time. Saint Marie, which is also known as Nosy Boraha, is a beautiful narrow island off the east coast of Madagascar, just 60 km (37 miles) long and less than 10 km (6.2 miles) wide.

Overnight: Saint Marie Hotel

Enjoy discovering Saint Marie Island with its white sandy beaches, turquoise water and coconut trees as well as its pirate history and old church. Perhaps go diving or snorkeling or just relax in this paradise.

Today is the last day on Saint Marie Island, then transfer to the airport for the flight back to Tana and onward international flight back home. “Veloma” from Madagascar!
