Meet by our representative on your arrival at Ivato airport and transfer to the hotel.
Night at hotel – BB
Transfer to the airport where you will take the flight to Fort Dauphin. On your arrival you’ll be met by the hotel representative and transferred to the Mandrare Luxury River Camp, an eco luxury camp on the banks of the Mandrare river set in a gallery forest of tamarinds.
Night at Mandrare River Camp – All Inclusive
After breakfast, visit of one of the local markets to see the rich tapestry of arts and crafts made in the valley, the local people travel for hours, even days to sell and buy their local goods here. Thanks to an expert guide you’ll learn much from all that you see making your stay a really rich and fulfilling experience. Return to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon continue northwards to Zenavo Forest. Owned by an elderly man, the forest is excellent for night walks. During the day, you can observe sifaka lemurs, night species such as mouse lemurs, sleeping birds, chameleons, owls and sports lemurs, all visible once the sun has set .
Night at Mandrare River Camp – All Inclusive
This morning you go to the Galleries of Sacred Forests to the south of the camp. This deciduous forest is full of wildlife, including large groups of black and white ring tailed lemurs called Maki. In the afternoon you will head up to enjoy sundowners at the Baobab, watching the sunset and moonrise with a view across the baobabs to the mountains beyond – a magical experience. In the evening the local village may come to perform traditional dances accompanied by singing and music.
Night at Mandrare River Camp – All Inclusive
You will leave exotic Mandrare and its wild flora and fauna for Manafiafy in the Bay of Saint Luce with its luxurious beach and lush green rainforest, 2.5 hours from Fort Dauphin on the Indian Ocean. You will find real peace and serenity in the middle of this natural and unparalleled scenic beauty.
Night at Manafiafy Lodge – LDBB + soft drinks
Spend your days here enjoying both land and sea activities including whale watching (mid-June to mid-December), massages, seeing fishing villages, wandering around the local market, visiting a school, watching the manufacture of traditional mats as well as night and day walks along the coastal forest (to see lemurs, chameleons, nepenthes carnivorous plants), boat cruises in the mangrove, fishing on the sparkling sea and much more.
Night at Manafiafy Lodge – LDBB + soft drinks
Departure to Fort Dauphin airport for your flight to Antananarivo where you’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Night at hotel – BB
Today you may have a city tour and visit the handicraft market depending on your flight time; lunch at a local restaurant (own account). Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
