Day by Day Overview

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your Ganyana safari driver/guide will meet and transfer you to your accommodation.

Your Ganyana safari driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel very early in the morning for the journey to Murchison Falls with a stopover at Nakasongola where you will have lunch. Then transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you enjoy a glimpse of the white rhino alongside some birding around the vicinity. Later continue on the road to Murchison Falls National Park.

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and later proceed to the park for the morning game drive during which you will have a chance to see various wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, lions, hyenas, water bucks and different bird species. After the game drive head back to the lodge for lunch then set off for an afternoon boat safari on the Nile River. See various birds such as the shoe bill and colored kingfishers as well as animals along the banks such as crocodiles, hippos and elephants. This boat cruise takes you close to the Murchison Falls where you will have a great view of these magnificent falls. In order to see the Falls clearly one needs to hike to the top for fantastic views of the Falls and the surrounding landscape. Later, you will be picked up by your driver, cross on the ferry and head back to the lodge for dinner.

After breakfast, we will transfer to Semiliki National Park with lunch on the way. You will pass through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. On arrival in Semliki National Park check in to your accommodation and have some time to relax before heading out for a birding session. This park harbors a large number of predominantly Central African bird species which cannot be found anywhere else in East Africa including some of the continent’s most spectacular and sought-after birds such as the long-tailed hawk, Congo serpent eagle, lyre-tailed honeyguide, black-wattled hornbill, Nkulengu rail to mention just a few.

After breakfast you will have a chance to visit the amazing and wonderful Sempaya hot springs, the most attention-grabbing attraction in Semiliki National Park where you can cook eggs and bananas and eat from there. After this wonderful adventure, proceed to Mungilo Waterfall where you will have an opportunity to see a number of beautiful birds. Later head back to the lodge and have lunch and relaxation. In the evening go for a game drive, with high chances of spotting animals and various bird species.

After a relaxed breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will be driven to the park towards the south passing via the Crater Lake area. Appreciate the beautiful hill landscape ad take in the breathtaking atmosphere of the park before going for an evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Start your morning game drive early, which will require you to be up very early. You will be able to see many animals along the Kasenyi track such as elephants, antelopes, waterbucks, buffaloes, lions, kobs among others. After the game drive, head back to the lodge your breakfast, relax and later have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. You will have a great time cruising along the Kazinga channel with a chance to view water birds such as the saddle billed stork, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers and animals such as crocodiles, elephants, hippos and buffaloes feeding along the channel. Later in the evening, head back to the lodge for dinner and the night.

Enjoy your breakfast in the morning, then drive to back to Kampala stopping in Mbarara for lunch and at the equator for photos where you can also buy souvenirs. Arrive in Kampala in the evening.
