This magnificent safari takes you to Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas, half of the world’s total population of surviving gorillas. It’s located in south western Uganda in the famous Bwindi impenetrable tropical rain forest. As well as gorillas it also harbors a number of forest birds, different plant species and butterflies. It's also where you find the homesteads for the pygmy Batwa community. You also get a chance to visit the second deepest lake in Africa, Lake Bunyonyi, with its amazing islands and features. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities you will enjoy on this safari - photographing and observing a gorilla family is an amazing experience.

You will be picked up from the airport by our guide who will brief you about your wildlife safari in Uganda.

Early in the morning after breakfast we shall embark on our journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south western Uganda, home to half of the world’s gorilla population. Have a stopover in Mbarara at Igongo Country Hotel for lunch. Later drive to Buhoma Lodge for checking in and overnight relaxation.

Arise early morning today for breakfast. Pack your lunch, drinking water and prepare for an amazing adventure and unforgettable encounter with the giants in the green lashed canopies face to face. You will have a pre-trekking briefing by your guide and then head off on the tracking for 2 to 8 hrs. During the tracking, expect to walk long distances after being divided into groups of eight. Once you find a gorilla family, you spend an hour with the mighty giants. You will be able also to sight a number of forest birds as you enjoy the breathtaking wildlife experience. Finally after the trekking, you will find our guide waiting to transfer you back to the lodge

After breakfast in the morning, you will visit the Batwa community people to learn and experience their unique culture. Then transfer back to the lodge for resting and lunch. Later in the afternoon embark on a journey to the far south western Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa.

After breakfast, you will go for a morning boat cruise to feel the breeze of Bunyonyi as your enjoy the features of the lake as well as shoreline birds. Transfer back to the lodge for lunch and afterwards we go for zip lining. Head back to the lodge later for the overnight stay.

Early morning after breakfast you will be de-briefed by our guide before we embark on the journey back to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
