You will be picked up by our safari guide from your hotel and cross to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge of booking.

You will have an early morning breakfast and then head to the park headquarters at 7:00am to join other trackers for a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules. Thereafter you will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which can take you 2-8 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access by tourists. Once sighted, you will spend one hour with the gorillas observing at close range as they feed, communicate, play and bond with their young.
The experience is awesomely humbling and one that will leave you with memories of a lifetime. You will return to your lodge for lunch and, if not exhausted, set off for a guided walking safari around the lodge. Alternatively, you will be taken to interact with the local communities, the Batwa, to learn about their interesting forest-based activities, traditions and lifestyles. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge of booking.

After breakfast you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the beautiful scenery of this part of the country, characterized by gigantic hills and steep valleys of volcanic origin covered with lush vegetation dotted with gardens and homesteads. You will arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park through the southern part of the park (Ishasha sector) renowned for its tree climbing lions which if you are lucky, will be seen hanging on fig tree branches to cool off. You will have lunch at one of the lodges before continuing to the centre of the park for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channelto enjoy, at close range, the profusion of water animals and birds. Later in the evening, you will go for an evening game drive where you will expect to see buffaloes, lions, elephants and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge of your booking.

You will wake up early and go for an early morning game drive. The park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife including buffalo, lion, elephants and more. Afterwards return to the lodge for a late breakfast and transfer to Kampala, arriving late in the afternoon.
