This safari is an exceptional adventure that takes you to Kibale National Park, known as the 'primate capital' where you will have an opportunity to spend time with the chimpanzees, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will be able to spend time with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi can be done in four sectors namely; Buhoma sector in the north, Ruhija sector in the east, Rushaga sector in the west and Nkuringo in the south.

Depending on your location in Entebbe / Kampala on the first day of the five days chimpanzee trekking experience, you will be welcomed by our representative of driver guide who give you a brief insight into the safari and then start your journey to Kibale Forest National Park. On the way you will have en-route lunch and enjoy stunning views of traditional homesteads, local people, tea plantations, beautiful sceneries, views of the Rwenzori mountains, crater lakes, among others. Upon arrival in the park you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early morning breakfast on day two of the five days safari, your driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing you will be grouped into 6 people allocated to a chimpanzee family to trek and park guide who will lead you into the forest during the trekking. Chimpanzee trekking is an interesting activity that starts at 8:00am and take about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search for food especially the dry season.
During the trekking you will be able to see other primates like the red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, and vervet monkeys, and view some bird species, mammals, and plant species among others. Once the chimpanzees are found you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn about their behaviors, habits, watch them feed, fight, play, hunt, mate, take photos and record the moments. After the one hour with the chimpanzees you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go for an interesting Bigodi swamp walk where you be able to view different primates, bird species, plant and tree species among others. After the swamp walk, you will go to back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast on day three of the five days, you will check out of the lodge and meet with your driver guide and there after begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. On the way you will have en-route lunch and then continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast on day four of the five days safari and meet with your driver guide with packed lunch to transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing. You will be briefed about the safety guidelines and allocated guides and groups for trekking gorillas. Setting off is at exactly 8:00am, the ranger guides make sure everyone has packed lunch, enough drinking water, comfortable safe shoes and a porter (if needed) to help carry your backpack so you can comfortably enjoy your gorilla trekking experience.
Observing and photographing the gentle giants (mountain gorillas) is so breathtaking. You are literally looking at creatures so human in every aspect. Be prepared as trekking of the mountain gorillas may take 1 hour to 7 hours depending on where your allocated gorilla family may be at. After trekking gorillas, return to the lodge and have a relaxed evening or a walk to the pygmy families on the outskirts of the forest. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

On the last day of the five days safari, have breakfast early morning and embark on your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. On the way will have a stop-over in Mbarara city for en-route lunch then proceed with another stop-over at the Equator in Kayabwe to take photos, buy souvenirs and get facts about the equator. You will then continue to Kampala or drop off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of your convenience.
