Day by Day Overview
After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and give you a briefing on what to expect during the safari. You will then begin the 6-hour journey to the reserve, passing through Luwero and stopping at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the opportunity to track both black and white rhinos. Later you will make your way to Masindi where you will have lunch, before proceeding to the park, heading straight to the top of the falls. After some beautiful photographs and taking in the view, you will make your way to your lodge for a relaxing evening and some dinner.
Overnight: Heritage Lodge | Meals: lunch & dinner
Today you will wake up early, have some breakfast and set off for a morning game drive in the park. Search for the remaining four members of the big five, the numerous antelope and hundreds of bird species that all inhabit this diverse wildlife haven. Around midday, you will return to your lodge to freshen up and have some lunch. After some downtime, you will set off for your boat cruise along the Nile River in search of crocodiles, hippos and any other animals that come to drink. You will make your way to the bottom of the falls, to witness it’s sheer power from a different perspective. You will then get the chance to go on an optional hike to the top of the falls, if you wish. Thereafter, head back to the lodge for dinner and a good nights rest.
Overnight: Heritage Lodge | Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
After breakfast, you will head out for your final game drive of the safari as you make your way out of the reserve, in the hopes of spotting the animals you have yet to see. Soak up these final wildlife scenes as you watch the animals grazing in the open grasslands as the day begins to warm and the bush becomes alive. Once you leave the park, you will head to Masindi for lunch before continuing on to Kampala, arriving in the early evening.
