An exciting 7-day Uganda adventure that gives you the chance to see Africa's greatest wildlife including the big-five, mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. You will be picked up in Entebbe from the airport or your hotel and begin your journey to the Kibale National Park. Depending on the time of your arrival, you will have the option to go on a crater lakes excursion, exploring the beauty of the lake shores surrounded by rolling hills and stunning views. Later you will make your way back to camp for a delicious dinner.

Enjoy some breakfast and proceed to the Bigodi Wetlands for the chance to discover the extensive array of biodiversity that exists there. There are several primate species including the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys and baboons. The Bigodi is also a paradise for bird lovers. You will then depart the wetland, heading for Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out for a game drive in the park. You will enjoy many wonderful wildlife sightings and a pristine African sunset before heading back to camp for dinner.

Today you will head out on your chimpanzee trekking experience in the Kyambura Gorge for the chance to seek out one of the habituated chimp families and discover a host of other primates along the trek. Thereafter you will return to the camp for a rest and some lunch. A boat ride on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward is planned for the afternoon for the chance to see some animals from a different perspective as they seek out some water in the heat of the day. Enjoy sightings of hippo, elephant and crocodile among many others.You will then have a late afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Head out for an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains before returning to the lodge and then make your way to Ishasha in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy this unique wildlife experience before departing for the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, you will receive a briefing before heading into the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas. Explore the beauty of the rainforest, making your way through the wet, dense forest. The time taken to find the gentle giants will vary depending on their movements and whereabouts, but the trek is always worth the time. You will get to spend an hour in their presence for the chance to observe their behaviour and gentle nature. You will then return to your lodge for a delicious meal and a well deserved rest. In the evening, you will have the chance to explore a nearby village to learn about the local community and how they live in this wild place.

After breakfast you will set off for Lake Mburo National Park, via Mbarara City. You will arrive with time for a rest before heading out for a late afternoon game drive. You will search for the herds of eland, Africa’s largest antelope among many other magnificent animals. You will then make your way back to camp for dinner.
Overnight: Hyena Hill Lodge | Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner | Transfer time: 4-5 hours
Enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for a bush walk for the chance to explore the African wilderness on foot and a final chance to search for some of the animals you have yet to see. Take a trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo from above. The vantage point offers great views of nine of the twelve lakes. You will then return to camp before heading back to Entebbe, marking the end of your trip.
