After an early breakfast, we will depart for Kasanka National Park, a drive of around 8 hours. Every November Kasanka hosts the largest mammal migration on the planet; some 12 million straw colored fruit bats descend for around 6 weeks – an incredible wildlife spectacle, not to be missed. We suggest a three night stay here, which gives you two full days of bat activities. In addition, we can also take you for normal game drives here, in between the bat viewing times.
After breakfast, we will transfer you back to Lusaka, to stay at Pioneer Camp in the miombo chalets on a B&B basis.
After breakfast, we will transfer you down to the Lower Zambezi National Park. You will be collected by boat, from Chirundu and transferred to Tsika Island. The next few days will be spent exploring the river and the Lower Zambezi National Park. We will arrange some game drives for you in the park as well as several boat cruises. You shall see an abundance of wildlife.
If, you would rather stay on the main land, there are several options for this. We advise not to camp in this area with a child, due to the large game present.
