On this Tanzania safari see the big five, wildebeest migration, big cats, and much more. This safari will take you through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater as well as the Great Rift Valley view. This special rate is for the green season months of April, May, and June when it's the rainy season, the landscape is verdant and it's a great time to see migratory bird species and young animals.
After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy lunch at your lodge and proceed with an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is a home to a wealth of wildlife including lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, python, zebra, oryx, impala and more. Over 450 species of birds have been observed here and the park has many baobab trees and some varieties of acacias. Tarangire is the one place in Tanzania where pythons climb trees.
After an early morning breakfast in Tarangire, drive to the great Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game drives en route. On your journey, you have a picnic lunch so that when you arrive in the Serengeti you proceed with game drives in the park. Serengeti National Park is home to lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocodiles and much more. There are also numerous birds includes the Eurasia migrants.
Enjoy a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park including viewing around the Seronera area. In the afternoon continue with game viewing in Central Serengeti where the main path of the Serengeti wildebeest migration passes.
After breakfast, enjoy some more game drives in the Serengeti up to lunchtime. After lunch drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here you have the option to visit a Maasai Boma, meet local Masai people, and learn about the culture. Another option is to visit Olduvai Gorge.
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast then descend into the Crater floor for game drives. All the big five – rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant – live in this wonderful caldera; other species include zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena and more. Birds include flamingos on Soda Lake, geese, storks and vultures. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a hippo pool. After lunch proceed with game viewing while ascending the Crater before driving back to Arusha.
