We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Tulia Spa & Boutique. A city sightseeing tour comes as part of the excursion for day 1. The city excursion will involve visiting the local markets, Maasai market, cultural heritage and Arusha city museum.
The drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park takes about 2 hours. After we arrive in Tarangire, we will do a full-day game drive to the best spots to see lions, cheetahs, and leopards as well as classic herbivores (elephants, wildebeest, buffalos, deer, gazelles). There will be plenty to see. Later, you will continue with game drives until late evening as others are checking out. We’ll enjoy a less crowded and more active scene in Tarangire. Later on, you will have dinner and your overnight stay in your accommodation at Ang’ata Tarangire Camp.
We will start early in the morning at 6:00 am with our game drive in Tarangire. We will continue with game drives until late in the morning when we will check out of Tarangire as the sun is out. We will proceed to Fig Tree Lodge where we’ll have lunch and relax a little before going out for a cultural trip in Mto wa Mbu visiting farms, waterfalls and biking. Later come back to the lodge for freshening up and dinner but our day is yet to be over. From 8:00 pm, we will set off to Lake Manyara National Park to enjoy a night game drive where we will see nocturnal animals, a less crowded and silent wilderness, adding a different dimension to your safari. Later, return to your accommodation for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti. It takes 5 hours (including all stops) as it transits through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we will stop for 20 minutes. There is an optional visit to a Maasai village where you can explore the culture of the great Maasai tribe. They are known for chasing lions off their kills, as well as hunting lions. To be considered a warrior, they had to drink animal blood, though this tradition is a thing of the past. This optional visit will take 20 to 45 minutes. We will arrive at Serengeti National Park in the late afternoon. After lunch, we’ll go on a game drive in the Seronera area (Central Serengeti), then head west. We will arrive at our accommodation where we can experience the Serengeti sunset.
After an early breakfast, we will go on an early game drive and spot plenty of wildlife. In the afternoon, we will head to the camp for lunch. After packing, we will do a game drive while we exit the Serengeti. We will head to the Ngorongoro (a 2-hour drive) on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early breakfast, we will descend the crater on a journey to find the black rhinos. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater, as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a crater floor. After lunch, we will do a game drive and ascend the crater to the camp and then get back to Arusha.
