Day by Day Overview
Today you journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which 120 km (3 hours) on a tarmac road. Tarangire National Park is home to lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, python, zebra, oryx, impala and more while over 450 species of birds have been observed. This park has many baobab trees and some varieties of acacias. It’s the one park in Tanzania where pythons climb trees. Enjoy game drives until the evening.
Accommodation: budget camping in basic tents
Early morning breakfast in Tarangire then drive to the great Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game drives en route. On your journey, you have a picnic lunch so that when you arrive in Serengeti you proceed with game drives in the park. Serengeti is home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dogs, gazelles, crocs and more. There are also many bird species including the Eurasia migrants.

After breakfast, enjoy more wildlife tours in the Serengeti National Park until lunch time. Afterwards drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game drives en route.

Enjoy a full day game viewing tour in the Ngorongoro Crater, waking up early in the morning for breakfast before descending into the Crater floor for game drives. All the big five – rhino,lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant – live in this wonderful caldera as well as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, geese, storks, vultures and more. Your lunch will be served in the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a hippo pool. After lunch proceed with game viewing while ascending the Crater then drive back to Arusha.
