Day by Day Overview
Early breakfast then with your picnic lunch drive from Arusha direct to Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephant population. Here you will have the unique experience of seeing nature combined with the original way of life of the Masai. Families of the pachyderms play around the ancient trunks of baobab trees and strip acacia bark from the thorn trees for their afternoon meal. Enjoy a game drive until late in the evening then drive to the campsite for overnight.
After breakfast depart from Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most impressively situated wildlife areas. The park offers variety of habitats from algae-streaked hot springs and swamps to the soda ash Lake Manyara itself which flamingos love. Lions in this park are well known for their tree climbing abilities and there are huge troops of baboons. You will enjoy a full day’s game drive with picnic lunch.
Early morning after breakfast we depart towards Serengeti National Park, pass through the high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend towards the endless plains of Serengeti National Park and drive towards the central Serengeti area. Large numbers of Serengeti wildlife species are attracted by the Seronera river. We arrive in time for lunch and then later enjoy an afternoon game drive within Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast depart heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. We will stop at a Maasai boma to learn a bit about Maasai culture, traditional life and lifestyle. Later during the afternoon we will head to Simba campsite.
After breakfast, you will descend into the crater for a full game drive with lunch boxes. Descend over 600 meters into Ngorongoro Crater, a breathtaking natural wonder. Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority supports a gigantic diversity of animals due to yearly round water and food supply. The crater is unique due to its intense population of predators while its lake has a large number of flamingos, hippos and many water birds. At the end of the day return to Arusha.
