Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, our dedicated driver will be eagerly awaiting you with a sign bearing your name, ready to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome. From there, you’ll enjoy a seamless and comfortable transfer to the enchanting Springlands Hotel. Later, our experienced safari coordinators will provide a pre-safari briefing. offering an exciting preview of the wonders that await you. After breakfast you will enjoy a morning game drive en-route to Ngorongoro Crater for a once in a lifetime safari tour. The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown, this thick volcanic crater is the most significant unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. An estimated 30,000 large mammals live in the crater, which features a salt lake at its center. This is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world! After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive from Karatu to the remote and striking Lake Natron. As you approach, you’ll be greeted by the sight of the imposing Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano and the surrounding landscapes, which are both dramatic and captivating.
Lake Natron is a critical breeding ground for lesser flamingos, and during your visit, you’ll have the chance to observe these magnificent birds in their natural habitat. The lake’s caustic waters and the surrounding stark beauty create a surreal environment that offers a unique contrast to other destinations. After a day exploring, return for an overnight stay at Karatu.
In the morning, after breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop at the historic Olduvai Gorge. In the morning, after breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This diverse ecosystem attracts a wide variety of mammals, birds, and other wildlife species. Manyara is renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions and offers excellent game viewing opportunities, with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and numerous elephants often seen near the lake. Keep an eye out for blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and the active olive baboon troops. Lake Manyara is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with large flocks of flamingos, circling birds of prey, and the brightly colored lilac-breasted roller. In the afternoon you will drive back to Moshi.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. If you wish to extend your adventure, you may choose to add a day trip to your itinerary, exploring nearby attractions or immersing yourself in local culture. Alternatively, you can continue your journey with a visit to the stunning island of Zanzibar.
