Day by Day Overview
You will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by your driver/guide and our representative. After greetings you will board the vehicle and drive to Arusha Town where you will have lunch at African Tulip Hotel. Spend the rest of day at swimming pool before dinner in the evening.
Dinner and Overnight at African Tulip Hotel
After breakfast you will board the vehicle and drive to Longido Maasai Village. On arrival, register at Longido community office then you’ll be joined by your Maasai Guide for a nature and local medicine study tour. Afterwards visit a boma where the Maasai will sing for your and tell you stories about their lives. You can take photos with the Maasai and visit their homes. After the activities in the evening you return to Arusha.
Dinner and Overnight at African Tulip Hotel
After breakfast we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, 160 km from Arusha. Enjoy a game drive in the park, searching for lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra and many other animals as well as different bird species including flamingos which line the lake shore. At 3.00 pm you start the drive to Lake Eyasi, arriving in time for dinner at Lake Eyasi Public Campsite. You will find your cook and camping crew have already set up the tents and prepared dinner. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western Rift Valley wall.
Dinner and Overnight at Lake Eyasi Public Campsite
This morning you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, including seeing their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, early morning hunting, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake. After the activities at Lake Eyasi with the tribe people you will walk back to the camp for lunch. Then board your vehicle and start your drive to Lake Natron at 12.30 pm.
On arrival at Lake Natron you will drive to the camp where you will find your tent set up. Enjoy tea and coffee with some snacks at 4.00 pm when you will be joined by your guide who will take you to the local waterfalls. They will explain that many people believe by swimming in the water helps to take away bad luck. In the evening you will walk back to the camp in time for dinner.
Dinner and Overnight at Lake Natron Public Campsite
Today you will have early breakfast at camp before driving to Lake Natron for sunrise – the perfect time for photographs. Continue on for a good view of Mountain Oldonyo Lengai, where your guide will explain the history of the mountain, and on to a Maasai Boma where Maasai will dance for you as well as time to visit their house and hear their life stories. Thereafter, with a lunch box, proceed to Serengeti National Park via Lobo gate. You will enter the Serengeti in good time for an afternoon game drive of the northern area, where the wildebeest migration head at certain times of year.
Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Public Campsite
Today you have full day of game drives in the Serengeti; your guide will take you on the look out for the great migration, as well as other wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, many birds species and other wildllife. You will enjoy a bush lunch and proceed with afternoon and evening sunset game drives.
Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Public Campsite
Early morning game drive in the Serengeti before breakfast. Then proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in to the camp for lunch. Afterwards head out on an nature walk in the Northern Crater Rim of Ngorongoro. The crater is inhabited by buffalo, elephant, baboons, monkeys and numerous species of birds. You will go for a walk while escorted by a ranger or Maasai Guide, following animal paths through dense bush. Your driver will drive up to Empakaai Crater top then you will descend the crater on foot, which is about 6,000 m wide and 300 m high.
Among the wildlife you hope to see are buffalo, bushbuck, a variety of antelope and blue monkeys. Birds are in abundance. A deep soda lake covers a large part of the crater floor. There is a track to the crater floor and one around the rim of the crater. On a nice, clear day, there are fantastic views of Mt. Oldonyo Lengai, Lake Natron and Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will walk around the crater, take some picture of its beauty and the stunning views. Retur to the top where you will meet your driver and head back to the campsite. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.
Dinner and Overnight at Simba Public Campsite
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro then descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive, with a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest caldera, its 2,000 ft high walls mean that very few animals migrate in and out of the crater and it has the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds species, and much more. You might be lucky and see the Big Five in one day. In the evening you will ascend to the top and proceed to Kudu Lodge.

After breakfast join your guide for a Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour. Mto wa Mbu offers different excursions during the tour such as bicycle riding, trekking Mto wa mbu hill, a banana plantation tour, drinking local beer, market tour and visiting the locals. All these tour can be done in 4-5 hours. In the evening you will drive back to Arusha to Ilboru Safari Lodge.

Relax at the hotel until 10 am when your driver will take you to the local Maasai market for some shopping. Afterwards you will enjoy lunch and experience African food. Then head to the airport for your onward flight.
