Day by Day Overview

After a short briefing in the morning, you will set off for Lake Manyara National Park. The small park stretches along the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and is dominated by the alkaline lake, filled with thousands of flamingos that paint the shallow waters pink. The park is home to more than 400 bird species and has varying habitats including forest and grassland plains. Search the forest for monkeys and make your way across the plains in hopes of seeing the elephants in the reserve. The park is also known for its famous tree-climbing lions which you could see as well. In the late afternoon you will leave the park and head to the campsite for the evening.

You will pass the famous Ngorongoro Crater before reaching the plains of the Serengeti National Park around midday. Discover the bizarre rock formations that dot the grassy landscape, often providing refuge for predators. Explore the park in search of the great wildebeest and zebra herds for an opportunity to see the overwhelming number of animals stretching to the horizon. In the evening you will make your way to your campsite for the night.

Stop for a picnic lunch before continuing your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Reach the crater rim and enjoy fantastic views of the massive collapsed volcano below you. Make your way to your campsite, situated on the edge of the crater.
