Day by Day Overview

After meeting your guide at your lodge or at Windhoek international airport we make our way south through the country for our first night stay in Namibia. The lodge is situated in a tranquil area near the town of Mariental. The company would have booked you an activity for the late afternoon.

Leaving after breakfast we make our way through the Kalahari to the Kgalagadi National Park. We cross the border from Namibia into South Africa at Mata Mata where we will also overnight. An open vehicle game drive will be booked for you for the afternoon.

Today we do a game drive through the Kgalagadi National Park to our next camp in the park. Once again an afternoon game drive will be booked for you in the park.

Leaving Kgalagadi National Park we make our way to Upington and then through the northern Cape to our next stop, Augrabies National Park. Located around the Augrabies Falls, about 120 km west of Upington in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa, Augrabies National Park was established in 1966. It covers an area of 820 km² and stretches along the Orange River. Here you can relax and take walks along the Orange River and there are also hiking trails within the park.

Today the drive takes you through an awesome part of South Africa and then back to the border of Namibia. We cross over the Orange River and then make our way to the Sandfontein Nature Reserve for the night. Here you can go for long walks into the nature as well as the lodge having activities for you to join.

From Sandfontein we make our way towards Grunau and then onto the gravel road that takes you down to the Fish River Canyon area. Located in the south of Namibia, the Fish River Canyon is the largest canyon in Africa, as well as the second most visited tourist attraction in Namibia. It features a gigantic ravine, in total about 100 miles long, up to 27 km wide and in places almost 550 meters deep. We will visit the canyon late afternoon and explore the area.

This morning we rise early to go up to the Fish River Canyon to watch the sunrise over the canyon. From there we make our way back to the lodge for breakfast before leaving for Aus. The drive takes you through the country and we arrive in Aus around lunch time.

Late afternoon we visit the feral horses of the area. The Namib Desert Horse is a rare feral horse found in the Namib Desert of Namibia, Africa. It is probably the only feral herd of horses residing in Africa, with a population ranging between 90 and 150

Today we drive down to Luderitz  and visit the old mining town of Kolmanskop. Stop off in the town of Luderitz for lunch before returning back to Aus for the night. We may even see the wild horses on the route and at times you see brown hyena in the Luderitz area.

Today we make our way through some of the most scenic parts of Namibia on our way to Sesriem and Sossusvlei, stopping off in the small town of Helmeringhausen for coffee on the way. After arriving in Sesriem, your guide will take you into the dunes for sunset before going through to the lodge for the night

This morning is an early start to the day, as we make our way into the red dunes of Africa. We visit the famous Dune 45 and Dead Vlei – your guide will book you a open vehicle to take you into the Dead Vlei for an hour or so. Once back at the entrance we make our way to Solitaire and then to Sussus on Foot Lodge. Once at the lodge your guide will inform you about the educational safari in the area run by the staff here.

Today we start the day with a walking tour into the desert run by the company that has been doing these tours for many years. You will learn a lot from these professional guides. From there we make our way down to the coast of Namibia. Firstly we visit Walvis Bay and then we end up in Swakopmund. Here your guide will offer you some optional activities which will be available for you for the next day

Today is a free day for you to enjoy some of the activities on offer in Swakopmund. Sand boarding and quad biking are two of the most popular, spending time in the desert between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay.

Today we explore more of Namibia as we visit Spitzkoppe and then continue to the White Lady Lodge in Uis for the night. Here we often see the desert elephants and sometime even hear the desert lions at night.

Leaving after a slow morning we make our way north to our next camp which is on a cheetah farm. This afternoon we will visit the cheetahs and feed the wild cheetahs they rescue in the area.

Today we make our way to Etosha National Park where we will do a game drive through the park to the eastern side where our camp is located. We will explore this superb park on further game drives the next day. Your guide will see if a night drive in the park is possible too.

After our last game drive in Etosha we make our way to our last camp for the tour. The camp is in Waterberg Plateau National Park, one of the best places in the country to see the Damara dik dik.

After an early morning we make our way down to the capital of Namibia, Windhoek. Transfer back to the airport in time for your flight back home
