Day by Day Overview

Your incredible safari begins with a professional early morning pick-up by your expert Stan Safaris guide from your residence or airport (Arusha/Kilimanjaro), immediately commencing the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, globally famous for its iconic baobab trees and reputation as the “Elephant Kingdom”. The transfer by road will take 2 to 3 hours till you reach the park entrance gate.

Upon arrival, your full-day game drive instantly immerses you in a stunning landscape to observe massive herds of Elephants, alongside Lions, Giraffes, wildebeest, impalas, gazelles, warthogs, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas and Zebras roaming the plains. You will have the lunch break at the picnic site located inside the park while enjoying the view of the Tarangire River from the top.

The afternoon drive is strategically focused on the pivotal Tarangire River, which guarantees a high concentration of wildlife coming to drink, offering a competitive and dramatic chance to witness predator-prey action. In the late evening, you will exit the park and drive to Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you will enjoy a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge (or similar quality mid-range accommodation).

Your day begins with the early hearty breakfast at Marera Valley Lodge before you depart for the highly anticipated descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. You will spend the morning on an extensive game drive across the crater floor, offering the absolute highest probability of sighting the Big Five including lions, leopards, elephants and the critically endangered black rhino alongside vast herds of wildebeest and brilliant flamingos coloring the soda lakes pink.

You will pause for the lunch break at the picnic site located inside the carer, while you’re enjoying the delicious lunch, you will be catching the glimpse of the hippo pool and the hippopotamus with the big and large body size yawing at the pool. After a scenic picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend the crater rim in the afternoon, pausing for one final, spectacular view before commencing your drive towards the vast Serengeti National Park.

Your final day is dedicated to a truly unique experience, starting with a very early pre-dawn departure artound 05:45 Am, from the lodge to meet the Hadzabe bushmen (the last remaining genuine hunter-gatherer tribe), where you will join them on their daily traditional hunt, offering a profound and authentic glimpse into a survival lifestyle largely unchanged for millennia.

You will also visit the neighboring Datoga tribe, renowned pastoralists and skilled blacksmiths, where you can observe their ancient craft before returning for a final lunch break at the lodge.
