Your adventure begins upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where our Stan Safaris driver guide will warmly welcome you and assist with customs formalities. After a short briefing, you will depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley passing farmlands, rolling hills, and the vibrant town of Narok. By midday, you will enter the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s richest wildlife sanctuaries.
After check-in at Osero Lodge and a delicious buffet lunch, you will enjoy a few moments at leisure before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is famed for its high concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, and over 400 species of birds. From July to October, the plains are transformed by the dramatic Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the world’s most extraordinary natural events. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as you listen to the magical sounds of the African night.
Today is dedicated to a full-day, immersive wildlife experience in the Masai Mara, the northern extension of the Serengeti and the stage for the Great Migration. You will either enjoy traditional morning and afternoon game drives or opt for a complete full-day excursion with a professionally prepared picnic lunch served in the heart of the savannah. Expect endless vistas of plains teeming with wildebeest, zebras, towering elephants, and powerful predators like lions and cheetahs.
Enhance your day with two spectacular optional activities: soar above the plains at dawn on the Hot Air Balloon Safari (USD 590 pp), culminating in an elegant champagne bush breakfast, or gain intimate insight into local life with a Maasai Village Visit (USD 20 pp) to learn about their ancient culture and traditions.
After a final breakfast overlooking the Mara plains, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey that takes you deeper into the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for a satisfying lunch at the strategically located Lake Nakuru Lodge.
This afternoon, embark on a game drive in this unique, smaller park, world-renowned as a critical sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, boasting over 450 species, including pelicans and various waterfowl, set against a backdrop of acacia forests and dramatic rocky escarpments. Keep an eye out for rare Rothschild Giraffes and the occasional glimpse of a leopard before heading to Lake Naivasha for check-in.
The morning promises unique wildlife encounters at Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake. Start with a relaxing, guided 1-hour Boat Safari to glide past pods of hippos and observe the abundant birdlife. Next, engage in a truly distinct experience: a guided walking safari on Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary. With no predators present, you can safely walk among freely roaming giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles a phenomenal photographic opportunity.
For the adventurous, an optional Walking/Biking Safari at Hell’s Gate National Park (USD 50 pp) is available.
In the afternoon, your final safari road transfer takes you back to Nairobi, where you will settle in for your overnight stay before the coastal transfer.
Following a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to the Nairobi SGR Terminus for your scenic train journey to the coast. This modern, comfortable ride provides a remarkable opportunity to view Kenya’s diverse inland landscape as you travel toward the Indian Ocean.
Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be met and transferred to the magnificent Voyager Beach Resort. Check into your all-inclusive accommodation and immediately begin relaxing, perhaps with a cocktail by the sea, as you prepare for three days of leisure.
