This safari offers you a wonderful combination of wildlife in some of Kenya’s top spots; Samburu National Reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river, Ol Pejeta Conservancy with its Rhino and Chimp Sanctuaries, Lake Bogoria and Lake Nakuru with incredible birdlife including thousands of flamingos, and the wildlife-rich Masai Mara National Reserve, home of the Great Migration.

Day by Day Overview

You will be met by your driver guide at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and taken for breakfast before departing to Samburu National Reserve with a photo stop at the equator on the way. Arrive at the gate and then enjoy a game drive en route to camp for check in and lunch. Relax until 4 pm when you head out on an evening game drive until sunset.

Dinner and overnight – Asnhnil Samburu Camp

Spend the day on a game drive through this magnificent park with its impressive range of wildlife, from big cats to incredible birds. Search for wildlife and enjoy the scenic views. Head back to the camp for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before the evening game drive.

Dinner and overnight – Asnhnil Samburu Camp

After breakfast depart to Sweetwaters with a game drive en route to the camp. This is a wonderful tented camp tucked away in this beautiful conservancy. After lunch, enjoy a peaceful afternoon until you visit the Rhino Sanctuary and the Chimp Sanctuary before proceeding on an evening game drive.

Dinner and overnight – Sweetwaters Serena Camp

Depart to Lake Bogoria National Reserve after breakfast with stopovers on the way at the Great Rift Valley view point, Thomson Falls and tea plantations. Enjoy a game drive through the reserve with a picnic lunch until the evening. The reserve is home to one of the world’s largest populations of lesser flamingos as well as pelicans and over 350 birds species. The lake is also famous for its hot water springs along its banks.

Dinner and overnight – Lake Bogoria Resort

Enjoy breakfast before your bird watching drive along the shores of Lake Bogoria. Later depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to over 400 bird species including millions of flamingos and pelicans as well as giant kingfishers, comorants, lapwings and fish eagles. Giraffe, rhino and lion are amongst other wildlife in the area.

Dinner and overnight – Flamingo Hill Camp

After breakfast depart to Masai Mara National Reserve. Spend the rest of the day on a game drive through this incredible reserve, with a picnic lunch on the way.

Dinner and overnight – Ilkeiani Camp

Have an amazing day on a game drive through this wildlife-rich park, searching for animals and enjoying the birdlife, over 420 bird species have been recorded here. From July to September, the Masai Mara witnesses the Great Migration when millions of wildebeests and zebras migrate here from the Serengeti Plains risking their lives as they cross the Mara River, home to many hippos and crocodiles.

Dinner and overnight – Ilkeliani Camp

After breakfast depart to Nairobi where you have lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Afterwards you’ll be transferred to either Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight or on to your next accommodation.
