07:30 pick up from your Nairobi airport or hotel. Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park on the Nairobi–Mombasa road via open African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Arrive in Amboseli National Park in the late morning. Take a midday rest and later venture into the park for a scheduled afternoon game viewing drive in search of elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, cheetah, warthog, buffalo, dik-dik, lesser kudu, nocturnal porcupine, prolific birdlife with some 600 species, and much more. Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the skyline and surrounding countryside, is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. The snow–capped peaks dominate the background while we marvel at the wildlife and scenery.

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive in the national park. Weather permitting the clouds will disappear, leaving you mesmerized by the majesty of the Kilimanjaro and its gleaming snow-capped peaks. Spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park on unlimited game viewing drives. The vegetation is light here so it’s easy to view lion, Cape buffalo, impala, cheetah and much more that populates the plains.

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive in search of predators and grazers. Additional game viewing drive as you leave Amboseli National Park and proceed on the cross-border drive into Tanzania. There shall be a stop for immigration formalities at the Namanga (Kenya/Tanzania) border town. The scenic drive is via Maasai country, distinct climatic zones and social regions with lunch in Arusha town, Tanzania. Proceed to the small and scenic Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing in search of the famous tree climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos and huge troops of baboon.

Take in wonderful sunrise views as you enjoy breakfast at your Lake Manyara accommodation. Later depart for Serengeti National Park via the Olduvai Gorge where we visit various sites to see where the remains of pre-historic man were discovered. The geology here provides glimpses of the fossilized remnants of early man and the gorge is perhaps one of the most important anthropological sites in the world. Proceed to the vastness of the Serengeti Plains with an afternoon of game viewing drives.

Today is spent enjoying game drives in the Serengeti National Park, which is overwhelmingly large with an incredible variety and concentration of game. Traverse the plains in search of the Big Five and a wealth of other wildlife. Everything about the Serengeti National Park is epic – its unimaginable stretch of grasslands, its millions of wildebeests and its massive populations of lion, believed to be the largest in Africa. You’ll find all the large predators here as well as hyena, wolf, honey badger, baboon and monkey. The images of the Serengeti are indelible and will perhaps stay with you as one of the most treasured of your safari memories.

Depart Serengeti with picnic lunches and game viewing drives en-route. Descend 600 m into the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, an immense, extinct caldera known for its protected wildlife ecosystem. Arriving on the crater floor you’ll find yourself in a vast environment abounding with large animals including rhino, buffalo, hippo, zebra, eland and of course lion. Enjoy almost a full day of awesome game viewing drives, stopping for your picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Springs picnic site. Later ascend to the crater rim for magnificent sunset views.

After breakfast depart for Arusha then proceed to Nairobi via the Namanga border town. Arrive in Nairobi in the early evening for drop off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport.
