Explore the incredible Meru National Park on this 3-day tented camp safari in the Kenyan wilderness. Day by Day Overview

A friendly Absolute Holiday Safaris guide and driver will meet you at your hotel or at the airport. After a short briefing, you’re headed for fun and adventure! Leave Nairobi via the Equator Line, where you will make your first stopover, and then proceed to Meru National Park, arriving in time for a delicious hot lunch. After a little siesta, and a chance to unpack, head out for your first game drive in the beautiful Kenyan wilderness. Make sure you have your camera at the ready, as you’re guaranteed some breathtaking game and landscape shots! Track lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, elephant, impala and hyena amongst other animals, and watch them as they go about their evening activities. Arrive back to your camp for dinner, drinks, and a chance to unwind after an exiting first day.

Overnight at Ikweta Safari Camp

Your day begins with a hearty breakfast at the camp, followed by a morning game drive. You’ll be provided with a scrumptious picnic lunch to enjoy while on safari, so you have the chance to stay out until the evening. Your guide will take you to the Murera and Ura Rivers to see crocodiles and hippos splashing around, as well as to spot some of the numerous bird species that live around these rivers. Next, you’ll be taken to Adamson falls, as well as to the former home of Joy and George Adamson. After a full day of game viewing and sightseeing, head back to camp for dinner, refreshments and a chance to relax.

Overnight at Ikweta Safari Camp

Head out for a final early morning drive to catch a spectacular Kenyan sunrise and search for more game, before returning to camp for a full breakfast. After breakfast, your guide and driver will take you back to Nairobi, where you will either be dropped off at the airport or at your hotel.
