Day by Day Overview

Your guide will pick you up at the airport and take you to your bed and breakfast hotlel where you will be able to relax and prepare for your trip in the morning.

A morning pick up after breakfast before making your way to Tsavo East National Park, renowned for its large elephant population and the famous man eating lions of 1898. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you make your way to your lodge and arrive in time for lunch. Another game drive in the afternoon before returning to camp for dinner in the evening.

Overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge

After breakfast you will have a full day game drive in the park as you search for its beautiful wildlife and enjoy a lunch out in the bush. Visit Aruba Dam and see what comes to drink before heading back to camp in the evening for dinner.

Overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge

An early morning game drive before returning to your lodge for breakfast and then heading to Tsavo West Nationl Park. Enjoy some game viewing while en-route and arrive to a tatsy lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the rhino sanctuary and later return to your lodge for the evening and a delicious dinner. There is a resident leopard in the area and if you are lucky, you will see it.

Overnight at Ngulia Safari

An early breakfast before a morning game drive and a visit to Mzima Springs where you can see hippo and hundreds of fish in the crystal clear water. There is a possibility of seeing crocodile and monkeys too. Later proceed to Amboseli National park, arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park that lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge

After breakfast you will head out for a game drive in the park with a packed lunch so you can spend the whole day looking for all the animals you have come to see. Excellent game viewing with beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro make for an amazing day. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for a hearty dinner.

Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Today you will be picked up from your lodge and driven to the northern side of the country to the foothills of Mount Kenya, arriving in the afternoon. After some lunch, you will be taken for a nature walk ending at the Mau Mau cave for some history and exploration.

Overnight at Bantu Lodge

You will be picked up from your lodge in the morning and driven north, crossing the equator and making your way into the northern frontier district. Continue to Samburu National Reserve and make your way to your lodge for lunch. Take some time to relax before heading out on a game drive in the afternoon. Return to the lodge before dark for some dinner.

Overnight at Samburu Game Lodge

An early morning game drive, providing excellent game viewing at a time when the animals are most active. Keep your eyes pealed for the big cats that will be roaming the vast grasslands in search of their next meal. Later head back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast. A midday lunch allows for ample leisure time, allowing you to relax by the river and watch the crocodiles. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading back for some dinner.

Overnight at Samburu Game Lodge

After an early breakfast you will depart for your final morning drive in the reserve, en-route to the gate. Make your way south back towards the equator where you will stop for a short water experiment and some photos. Drive to the Thomsons Falls for some more photos before heading down into the Great Rift Valley. Pass through the tea and coffee plantations before arriving at your lodge for the evening and enjoy some dinner.

Overnight at Naivasha West Beach Camp

After breakfast you will make your way to the Green Crater Lake for a beautiful walking safari. The lake was formed by a volcano and created amazing rock formations that you will learn about on the walk. A great opportunity for spectacular photographs and a chance to get close to some of the herbivores in the reserve. Later head back to camp for a relaxed evening.

Overnight at Naivasha West Beach Camp

After breakfast you will leave for the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Check in to your luxury tented camp before enjoying an amazing afternoon game drive as you make your way across this beautiful park in search of lion, cheetah, elephant and buffalo.

Overnight at Explore Nature Mara Lodge

Today you will have the option to go on a hot air balloon safari over the park, allowing you to see animals from above and see how vast this park really is. Alternatively you can go on a morning game drive before returning to camp for breakfast. After breakfast you will head out for a full day in the park with a packed lunch as you search the plains for the massive herds of wildebeest and zebra. Head back to camp in the late afternoon for a delicious dinner.

Overnight at Explore Nature Mara Lodge

Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast. Enjoy an afternoon game drive that takes you to the lake to view hundreds of flamingos and pelicans. Keep your eyes pealed for black and white rhinos and waterbuck that frequent the lake.

Overnight at Kivu Resort

Today you will wake up early and enjoy a quick breakfast before making your way to Lake Bogoria, famous for its hot springs. Enjoy a picnic lunch and do your own egg-boiling test in the lakes hot geysers to see how hot they really are. Later head to Bungoma for the evening.

Overnight at Elegant Hotel

After breakfast, make your way to the Malaba border crossing and head into Uganda. Drive to the source of the famous Nile River and spend some time at the local craft market and mingling with the locals. Later you will head to your lodge for the evening, located on the Nile where you will enjoy a wonderful dinner.

Overnight at Paradise Hotel

After breakfast you will drive down to Kabale, Uganda’s highest town. Enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding landscape as you make your way to your camp at Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is Africa’s deepest crater lake at 900 meters deep. Bunyonyi means ‘place of little birds’, so expect to see many interesting and unique birds.

After breakfast you will have the opportunity to go on a guided community walk to visit the local Batwa people or go canoeing on the lake. Later you will return to camp for some lunch before you can visit the children’s orphanage in the village or spend the evening relaxing at camp. End off the day with a delicious dinner.

In the morning you will enjoy a beautiful drive over the mountains, en-route to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Today you will have the experience of a lifetime as you trek into the forest as you search for the magnificent mountain gorillas. The trekking can be demanding and last the whole day depending on weather and where they are situated but you will be rewarded with an extremely special sighting when you find them. Once you find them, observe them for up to an hour and marvel at their beauty and size. Photography is permitted without a flash. Later head back to your camp for the evening for a well deserved dinner.

Overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort

An early breakfast before crossing the border into Rwanda and heading to Kigali. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy some lunch at the hotel before you can relax for the remainder of the day. Later you can enjoy some dinner before heading to bed.

Overnight at Kigali Blue Sky Hotel

Today you will have the option to go on a tour of the city, that will also visit the genocide memorial. Later you will drive to Kinigi, passing by Ruhengeri. The road to Ruhengeri offers stunning scenery of the hills and valleys of this beautiful lush country. Continue for a short distance until you reach Kinigi at the base of the Sabyinyo Mountain and enjoy excellent views of the rest of the Virunga Volcanoes. Later you can enjoy a hearty dinner and relax for the rest of the evening.

After an early breakfast you will make your way to the airport for your flight to Arusha. The city is located at the foot of Mount Meru and is the gateway to most of Tanzania’s safari destinations. Enjoy your afternoon relaxing between lunch and dinner as you wait to continue your journey in the morning.

Overnight at Charity Hotel

Leave Arusha after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive with packed lunches. Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara escarpment, on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, the park offers amazing landscapes with breathtaking views and incredible bird life. The reserve is also home to the famous tree-climbing lions and has the largest concentration of baboons in the world. You will enjoy a delicious dinner at your camp in the evening after a good day of game viewing.

Overnight at Fanaka Camp

After breakfast depart for the Serengeti and arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy an extensive evening game drive in the pack before returning for dinner.

Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp

A full day of exploring the massive Serengeti plains in search of the wildlife you have come to see. The park is home to the huge herds of migrating wildebeest that are often followed by hungry predators, proving the opportunity to witness a kill if you are lucky enough. Follow the herds on morning and evening game drives while searching for other amazing sightings along the way. Depending on the time of year you come you can also see the herds crossing the crocodile infested river for one of the most dramatic sightings you will ever experience.

Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp

In the morning you will make your way to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater via the Olduvai Gorge famed for the discovery of its 3.5 million year-old hominid fossils. The crater is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on earth that has breathtaking views from its rim walls that encircle one of Africa’s most diverse wildlife havens. Explore the crater and search for the many animals that call it home, including black-manned lions. The reserve also houses a soda lake that attract many water birds, including flamingos. In the evening you will make your way to your camp for some dinner.

Overnight at Octagon Lodge

After breakfast you will be driven back to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar Island. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will met by a Zanzibar Ocean Blue chauffeur and taken to the resort where you can relax for the remainder of the evening before dinner.

Today after a full buffet breakfast, you can enjoy a full day of uninterrupted leisure time. Spend the day on the beach or visiting local markets and restaurants. Lunch is not included today but in the evening you can return to the resort for dinner.

Today you have the opportunity to enjoy another day relaxing and exploring the island in your own time or you can opt to go on an excursion covering the spice and fruit plantations and the historical Stone Town for a Spice Tour. You can also go on a ocean safari for some snorkeling in the crystal clear waters over spectacular coral reefs in search of the many beautiful tropical fish that inhabit these waters. Later return to the resort for a delicious final dinner on this amazing island.
