Pick up by your guide from your hotel in Kampala in the morning. Transfer to Murchison Falls through the Luwero triangle. On the way visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will track rhinos and have lunch at the restaurant. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, visit the Falls at the top where you will see the magnificent waterfall passing through the 7m gaps in the rocks and form the Victoria Nile. Afterwards head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

On this day, enjoy breakfast at the lodge then set out for a 2-hour game drive in Uganda’s largest par, home to a variety of wildlife such as leopards, hippos, lions, warthogs, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, waterbucks as well as different bird species. After the drive return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a 3-hour boat cruise on the Nile where you will see a number of animals along the banks such as elephants, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, monkeys and birds. Cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls where you will hike for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast checkout from the lodge for a game drive out of the park to Kibale Forest via Fortportal. The drive offers great scenic views. Kibale Forest National Park is one of Africa’s most beautiful rainforests, home to 13 primates, the most common being chimpanzees. It is also a great place for birders with over 325 bird species. Enjoy an evening nature walk in the park before dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After beakfast head to the park headoffice for a briefing before setting out on your chimpanzee tracking through the forest. Remember that only one hour is given when you find the chimpanzees. Other primates can also be spotted in the forest such as red tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys as well as elephants, antelopes and buffaloes. Head back to the lodge for lunch. In the evening go for a walk through the Bigodi Wetland where you will see birds, baboons, bush babies among other wildlife species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Immediately after breakfast set off for a 4-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s outstanding wildlife parks with over 600 bird species and a wide range of mammals including elephant and buffalo. During the journey, you will enjoy great views of the Rwenzori ranges. On reaching the park go for a game drive in the evening. Dine and sleep at the lodge.

After breakfast go for an early morning game drive through the park looking for wildlife species such as waterbucks, lions, elephants, hartebeests, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, leopards and warthogs. Also view different crater lakes. After the 3-hour drive head back for lunch as you prepare for the afternoon 2-hour boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. Home to over 550 hippos, you will also see birds and other animals like crocodiles, elephants and antelopes along the channel. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early and set out on a game drive through the Kasenyi Plains looking out for elephants, leopards, buffaloes, waterbucks, and various colorful birds. Later on, take a 2-hour drive to Ishasha which is home to tree-climbing lions. With the help of skilled park rangers, you will also search for these lions – it’s amazing to watch them in trees. Have lunch at the lodge or a picnic.

Today you journey to Bwindi Forest National Park, the habitat of gentle giants, the mountain gorillas. This journey will take you through Kigezi Highlands and its various terraced hills. Have lunch on your way or at the lodge depending when you arrive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After a briefing at the headquarters, you will be led by the rangers into the jungle to track gorillas. This experience usually takes between one and eight hours since gorillas move around. Once you find the gorillas, you have one hour with them to capture your greatest moments with them. Other species which live in Bwindi include butterflies, plants, primates, mammals, frogs, among others. Just in case some of you are not interested in tracking gorillas, you can go for a short guided forest walk or village walk to the Batwa community.

Today, while still reminiscing about the previous days’ gorilla experience, you drive to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest lake and a prime birding spot. Enjoy the eye-catching landscapes such as the locally terraced interlocking hills where most locals carry out their farming. This area was named by great British diplomat Winston Churchill as the ‘Switzerland of Africa’.

Take your breakfast with amazing views of the surrounding hills, forests and beautiful rays of the morning sun. Afterwards head out for a canoe ride on the lake, home to 29 islands. each with some history such as Punishment Island. Enjoy the stories from the guides on your canoe ride. Return to the lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon, take a walk or hike up the hills to enjoy more spectacular views of forests and lakes. Alternatively, watch birds, read a book while relaxing by the lake shores or swim in the lake (it’s bilharzia free and safe for swimming).

After breakfast, embark on a 4 and a half hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s smallest parks. With lunch en route you will pass through stunning scenery, farmland and plantations. The park is home to large numbers of zebra as well as impala, oribi, buffalo, warthog, waterbuck and over 332 bird species. When you arrive in the park in the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along Lake Mburo.

Enjoy an early breakfast, after do a game drive as you continue to Kampala, have a stop at the Equator line; take photos and also buy some souvenirs from a craft shop. Enjoy lunch still at the Equator or in Kampala depending on the time you arrive there after lunch drive to Jinja located in the East of Uganda and the home of the source of the Nile River. Arrive in the evening and have dinner and take a rest at the lodge/hotel of your choice.

Have an early breakfast and head out for today’s activities. The Nile River’s source is in Jinja where it starts its 4,000 km journey through many African countries. Your driver will take you to the beginning point and you will go for a guided boat cruise on the Nile. Afterwards, enjoy a half day rafting on the rapids, an unforgettable adventure. Have lunch and then you can choose to rest at the lodge by the swimming pool or go on optional activities like bungee jumping, kayaking, quad biking or horse riding.
