Day by Day Overview

Today after breakfast you will drive or fly to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Named after Queen Elizabeth II, the park was established in 1954 and is located in western Uganda, covering an area of about 1,978 square kilometres. Within the park are Lake Edward, Lake George and the Kazinga Channel. The vegetation in the park is mostly open savannah, green meadows, semi-deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps.

On arrival you will have lunch then either relax at the lodge or go for an afternoon game drive. You might spot animals like elephants, buffaloes, impalas, Uganda kobs and lions. Various birds can be spotted too and they include the African skimmer, Chapin’s flycatcher, pink-backed pelicans, papyrus canary, shoebill stork, martial eagle. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will go for a game drive to search for some of the incredible wildlife and birds. After lunch, head out on a boat ride where you will spot hippos, crocodiles and various water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala. You can make a few stopovers along the way. Drop off will be at the airport or at your accommodation in Kampala.
