Later you will head out for your first game drive in the park and be able to experience the vast number of animals that roam the plains. The Mara river that provides an abundance of water to support the huge herds is also the place where the most dramatic wildlife scenes take place during the great wildebeest migration’s river crossing. Search for the famed black-manned lions and if you are lucky enough, experience a kill. Later you will make your way to your camp for the evening.

The reserve, also renowned for its big cat population, often provides beautiful sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah that are supported by the large herds of antelope. You can explore the surrounding areas of the lake or spend some time enjoying various optional activities, including a bird walk or a boat ride. The lake attracts many animals to its banks, including giraffe and large herds of buffalo that love to wallow in the mud.
