After breakfast you will head out for a full day in this beautiful reserve with its rugged terrain. Focus your search for animals along the river banks, where the animals come to drink in the heat of the day. The Uaso Nyiro River flows gently through the dry landscape, helping sustain life in this harsh environment and providing excellent sightings. Shaba National Reserve is where the famous conservationist George Adamson did his research on lions. In the afternoon you will head to the reserve for a game drive and return to your lodge in the evening for dinner.

Later you will head out for your first game drive in the park and be able to experience the vast number of animals that roam the plains. The Mara river that provides an abundance of water to support the huge herds is also the place where the most dramatic wildlife scenes take place during the great wildebeest migration’s river crossing.
