This jam-packed Uganda safari offers the perfect combination of leisure, adventure, wildlife-spotting and sightseeing. On this week-long safari we'll take you on a wild adventure in search of chimpanzees, gorillas, tree-climbing lions and big five game. You'll have a chance to visit two savannah parks, walk through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, experience the wonder of Murchison Falls and cruise down the source of the magnificent Nile river, all in one 7-day trip.
From USD 2,500 per person
Your adventure begins! A driver will arrive to fetch you from the airport and take you to Murchison Falls National Park. After an enthralling walking safari where you’ll spot wildlife and a wide range of exquisite birds, enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Next you’ll be heading to the top of the falls for an incredible panoramic view of the beautiful surrounds. The epic landscape is guaranteed to take your breath away! After a day of wildlife spotting, head to your lodge for dinner and a much needed rest.
This morning we’ll head out for an early morning private game drive, where you’ll be lucky enough to watch a beautiful and dramatic sun rise and spot wildlife at their most active time of day. Murchison is home to four of the big five, with huge herds of buffalo and elephant, as well as hippos, slinky leopards, and Nile crocodiles. After a packed lunch in the bush, enjoy a Nile river cruise, followed by sundowners against the backdrop of the beautiful African sky, or another mini game drive, the choice is yours!
Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by leisure time.
Today, after breakfast we will be leaving Murchison Falls and heading to Kibale Forst National Park. Along the way, we will stop off for lunch and refreshments, before checking into your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy leisure time to relax, nap, or read a book. Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by a chimpanzee tracking brief before bedtime.
Remember to eat a big breakfast, as today is action-packed! After a brief by the rangers, you’ll head out to track chimpanzees as they go about their daily activities. Chimpanzees are less accustomed to humans than other primates, so tracking them is both exhilarating and challenging. After the tracking session, certificates will be awarded to successful trackers, followed by lunch, and then a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, we’ll stop at the equator crossing where you can experience being on both sides of the equator at the same time! After another fun-filled day, head to the lodge for dinner and an early night.
Today begins with an early morning private game drive to the exquisite crater lakes. Along the way, spot big cats, elephants, and other exciting wildlife. After a long morning of wildlife spotting, enjoy lunch in the bush, before heading to the Kazinga Channel for a safari cruise. On the cruise, keep an eye out for hippos, Nile crocodiles and a wide range of beautiful birds.
In the afternoon, you’ll be transfered to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, passing through the Ishasha area, where you’ll have the chance to spot incredible tree-climbing lions. Dinner will be served at your lodge, followed by leisure time.
Today is a highly anticipated day; the day you track gorillas. You’ll be briefed on the process, before heading out to meet the gorilla family you’ve been allocated to track and observe. Here you’ll learn all about the habits and rituals of these fascinating primates, and will have the chance to snap some incredible photos. There will be certificates for successful trackers, once again, followed by lunch. After lunch and some down time, head to Lake Bunyonyi, for a canoe trip on a lava dammed lake. After another amazing day in the Ugandan wilderness, you’ll be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and leisure time.
Today is the last day of your exciting and adventure-filled tour! We will be heading back to Kampala for your flight home, stopping at the Equator Experience for lunch and refreshments along the way.
