Arrive for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Proceed to the area of Lake Amboseli, a wide salt pan consisting of permanent swamps. This area has much game, large and small, with a high concentration of elephant, rhino, buffalo, Burchell’s zebra, eland, Masai giraffe, small species of the antelope family, common water buck, klipspringer, Grant’s gazelle, impala, topi, and many other wild game.

All meals and overnight: lodge/camp of your choice

Early breakfast at your camp or lodge, then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. After lunch relax before the afternoon game drive. We are likely to see a range of birds which includes the Egyptian goose and a variety of ducks that come from Europe to winter. Since there is no existing drainage, Lake Nakuru is alkaline, the perfect place for flamingos to feed on the blue-green algae. The greater flamingo attains a height of about 4.26 feet its plumage is almost white with a pale pink, black tipped beak. It is the lesser flamingo that has the more exotic colour. Different types of wildlife including the white rhino and black rhino, cheetah, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and other members of the big five.

All meals and overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar

Enjoy an early morning breakfast at your lodge then depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar. Have an afternoon game drive in this famous reserve which has wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where a visitor may see animals in the same super abundance as existed a century ago. Explore this part of the Northern Serengeti ecosystem where the great wildebeest migration takes place. The plain is literally covered with these animals. Grunts and other animal sounds are heard while territorial fights are commonplace. The migration, now declared one of the Seven New Wonders of the World, takes place from approximately the end of July to September. Soak in the abundance of untamed wilderness, fresh and natural scenery, filled with exotic wildlife during our expertly guided game drives enjoyed in open vehicles.

Dinner and overnight: lodge/camp of your choice

After breakfast, full day game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, which offers an incredible variety of animals. The reason being that this hilly region is both humid and fertile and is crossed by Mara and Talek rivers full of crocodiles and hippos. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons the Masai Mara has some of the greatest populations of wild animals in Africa.

Optional activities:

Masai Village Visit:  A Maasai guide at the village will escort you around the village so you can see their traditional way of life. Photography is NOT prohibited here.
Hot Air Balloon Safari: Early morning balloon safari over the savannah, drifting above the browsing game – a great opportunity for unique photographs. Toast your return to earth with a champagne breakfast.
