Day by Day Overview
You’ll depart from Nairobi and head west for Masai Mara National Reserve, enjoying the scenic view of the Great Rift Valley escarpments. You’ll have the first stop-over at the viewpoint to give you the chance to appreciate the view. The second stop-over will be at Narok to have your hot lunch before proceeding to the camp. The journey will enable you view different landscapes right from Nairobi all the way to Mara. The afternoon is scheduled for relaxation followed by and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of wildlife viewing within the reserve after breakfast. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Enjoy the game drive in search of the big five (rhino, elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo) including other wildlife and bird species. The driver guide will help you set up the best place to have a break for your picnic lunch. Later, you’ll continue with the game drive. Then, you’ll head back to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy an optional visit to the Maasai village (Manyatta) if you did not take part on day one in the afternoon. This cultural experience allows you to engage with the local community, learn about their traditions, witness traditional dances, and gain insights into their unique lifestyle. It’s a memorable and enriching way to wrap up your safari experience. After the visit head to Lake Nakuru, you will have the views of Mt Longonot from a far and Lake Naivasha where you will also stop for another optional boat ride to witness the hippos and the fish eagle fishing. Later proceed to Nakuru and be dropped at Buraha hotel for dinner and overnight.
Have breakfast then proceed for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is known for rhino sanctuary both white and black rhino. Enjoy the epic view of buffaloes, crocodiles and hippos in their day-to-day activity, visit the baboon cliff to have a clear view of the park. Enjoy other Kenyan wildlife including the birdlife in the park such as flamingos. Afterwards depart to Nairobi where the driver guide will drop you at the city center.
