Day by Day Overview

Early morning arrival in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or meet with your safari guide at your hotel. Full briefing then depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. Descend into the Great Rift Valley with views of Mt. Longonot and other escarpments on a clear morning, stopping at the view point for photos before continuing to Masai Mara via Narok town arriving in time for lunch at the camp. Spend the afternoon at leisure at the camp and embark on an evening game drive in the Masai Mara in search of the big five and other game, which are easily spotted during the migration season.

Dinner and overnight at a tented camp

Visiting during the migration season in the Masai Mara and the plains are filled with migration herds offering the best opportunity to witness a cheetah racing an impala to a kill or a lion bringing down a zebra. The day will be best planned between clients and their guide, either choosing to do a half day game drive with lunch at the camp or a full day game drive leaving the camp with a packed lunch. In the afternoon either continue on your game drive or enjoy leisure time at the camp. There’s an option of visiting a Masai village which gives you the opportunity to learn about the Masai culture. Later on return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Dinner and overnight at a tented camp

Enjoy a pre-breakfast game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve (06h30-09h00), returning to the camp for breakfast. Then depart for Nairobi, a drive that takes you through the famous Masai land and Narok town. Have lunch at a picnic site on the way to Nairobi. In the afternoon ascend the Great Rift Valley with views of Mt. Longonot and escarpment on a clear day. Stop at view points and for souvenir shopping before continuing to Nairobi. Arrive late afternoon where you will be dropped at the airport for your onward flight.
