Day by Day Overview

An early morning pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and a drive to Mikumi National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch and then go on a game drive until evening.

Overnight at Tan Swiss Lodge: dinner

Enjoy a full day of game drives around Mikumi National Park with a picnic lunch. The park has a rich variety of bird species and a large number of animals that provide for some excellent game viewing.

After an early breakfast you will drive to Selous Game Reserve through the African Savannah and arrive in the late afternoon.

Overnight at Selous Kinga Lodge: dinner

After breakfast depart for a full day of game drive in Selous Game Reserve, exploring the park in search of the animals you have come to see. Enjoy a midday picnic lunch before continuing on your game drive and returning to the camp in the evening.

After an early breakfast, enjoy another day of games drives as you take in the beauty of the park and search for the animals you have yet to find. Another picnic lunch in the bush before heading back to camp.

Enjoy an early morning walking safari around the reserve after some tea or coffee. Return for breakfast before driving back to Dar es Salaam for your flight to Zanzibar. Once you land you will be taken to your hotel in the heart of Zanzibar for the evening.

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your guide will walk with you through the narrow streets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the historical sites and discover the significance of the Zanzibar doors. Later make your way to Kizimbani for your spice tour and learn why Zanzibar is known as the Spice Island. Explore the spice plantations and learn how to harvest the tropical fruits of the area.

Overnight at Seyyida Hotel & Spa: B&B

After breakfast you will be taken to Fumba Beach for a whole-day sea adventure. The experienced crew will take you on traditional wooden dhows to sail and explore the natural beauty of Menai Bay. The bay is home to white sandbanks, crystal clear water, pristine coral reefs, hundreds of tropical fish and bottlenose and humpback dolphins. Stop on one of the sandbanks for some swimming and snorkeling. Enjoy lunch on the magnificent Kwale Island.

After a delicious breakfast, check out of your hotel and catch a ferry to Prison Island. The Island is one of the uninhabited islets of Zanzibar, popular for it’s giant tortoises brought to the island by Sultan Said from the Seychelles. Enjoy some swimming and snorkeling, sunbathe on white sand beaches and stroll through the forest in search of the beautiful peacocks. Return to Stone Town for lunch before making your way to your hotel for the evening.

After a delicious breakfast, make your way to Kizimkazi fishing village for a boat ride to Menai Bay. If you are lucky enough, enjoy swimming with the dolphins amongst many other beautiful sea creatures including turtle. After lunch make your way to Jozani Forest and discover the rare colobus monkeys. Take some photos with the monkeys and take in all the other wildlife in the forest.
