Mid Range
In this seven-day adventure, you’ll travel to Amboseli National Park. Here, you will enjoy the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro and hundreds of elephant families. It is also home to the largest tuskers you will ever see. Proceed to the lakes in the Great Rift Valley: Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru, home to hundreds of flamingos and rare rhinos. The last leg of the trip takes you to the Masai Mara, probably the most prolific wildlife destination on the planet.
From USD 2,459 per person
You’ll be collected from the airport (or accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.) We leave Nairobi this morning and drive across the picturesque Athi Plains and into the bushland of Amboseli National Park, home to the famous Maasai community and well-known for its enormous herds of elephants. You will arrive in time for a hot lunch. A game drive is scheduled in the afternoon. Nearly every sight in the park is framed by the spectacular Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, in addition to seeing plenty of elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and lion. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge or camp.
We leave this morning for another exciting full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch to catch the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds cover the summit. Amboseli is a great location to see a wide variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, lions, cheetahs, and many others. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli to wetlands with sulphur springs, savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community, which lives around the park and experience their authentic culture. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge or camp.
After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha. On your way, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Then, you will proceed to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch. You will enjoy a boat ride and a walking safari this afternoon in the animal sanctuary. Lake Naivasha is the second-largest freshwater lake in Kenya. The surrounding forest is home to various wild animals and over 400 bird species, making it the perfect destination for birders worldwide. During your safari along the lake, you will likely encounter countless birds of all shapes and sizes. Kingfishers, eagles, pelicans, cormorants, egrets, and many other species share the lake’s waters, and numerous hippos and other creatures regularly visit its shores. After the activities, we will return to the camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
You’ll have breakfast, then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. En route to your accommodation, you’ll have a game drive, arriving in time for lunch. Later, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive along the lake’s shores, taking in its diverse variety of animals and birdlife. The lake’s abundance of algae attracted a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area. Four of the Big Five are present with buffalo and white and black rhinoceros common in the park. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge or camp.
Depart early in the morning for Masai Mara National Reserve. It is one of the few places left on earth where wildlife lives comparatively undisturbed. Masai Mara is an unmistakable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. With a vast range of wildlife, including the Big Five, and a rich cultural heritage to explore, it is without doubt one of the most incredible safari destinations in Africa. Between July and October, things get busy. Millions of zebra and wildebeest cross from the
Serengeti to the Masai Mara, searching for new grazing territories. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp or lodge.
Today’s itinerary is flexible, and you can discuss it with your guide and plan the day’s schedule. You can have a relaxed breakfast and depart for a full-day game drive at around 7:00 am with a picnic lunch. The game drive will allow you to visit the Mara River, where the migration happens. Also, you’ll have better chances to view wildlife all day and return to the lodge or camp late in the afternoon. Alternatively, you can depart at 6:00 am for an early morning game drive. Later return to your accommodation for breakfast and relax until midafternoon. Then, at 4:00 pm, depart on an afternoon game drive. You’ll return to the lodge or camp at 6:30 pm for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will check out and proceed to Nairobi. Depending on your flight details, your driver-guide will help you organize your departure time from Masai Mara. You will be dropped off at your desired hotel or the airport for your homebound flight.
