This 14-day Kenyan beach safari offers a luxurious combination of game viewing, water activities, city, landscape and island tours, and beach relaxation. Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Mombasa, try local foods, and learn all about the city’s history. Visit Tsavo East National Park, famous for its large herds of elephant, and at Tsavo West National Park visit the Mzima Springs. Stop off at the Shetani lava flow on the way to Amboseli National Park and enjoy wildlife spotting from the Kilimanjaro view point. Take to the sea in a traditional dhow boat for some snorkeling and spend a day exploring the idyllic Wasini island.

Day by Day Overview
Your adventure begins as you touch down in Mombasa. A friendly Roaming Africa guide and driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel for the night. Unpack, relax and ease into your holiday with a nap or a refreshing swim in the pool. Dinner will be served at the hotel in the evening.

Today is all about acclimatising to the humid weather, relaxing by the pool or on the beach, catching a tan and enjoying the water sports on offer.

After an early breakfast, head into Mombasa for an exciting city tour. Sightseeing will include a visit to Fort Jesus, built by the Portuguese in 1593. The fortress now contains a fascinating museum which you will have a chance to check out. Try local dishes and experience the sights, smells and sounds of this vibrant, bustling city.

After a full breakfast, head to Tsavo East National Park for an exciting day of game viewing. Tsavo is famous for its large population of red elephants, as well as buffalo, zebra, giraffe, gazelle, warthog, impala and ostrich. If you’re lucky, you may also spot lion and cheetah in these parts. At Aruba dam, you will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of beautiful aquatic birds. Head to Voi Safari Lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner will be ready on your return to the lodge in the evening.

Your day will begin with an early morning game drive to catch the sunrise and watch the wildlife waking up. After breakfast at the lodge, you will head to Tsavo West National Park. On the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the Mzima Springs, where thousands of gallons of water flows every day from the nearby volcanic Chyulu Hills. Hippo, crocodile and various fish can be seen from a sunken observatory tank. Arrive at Kilaguni Serena Lodge in time for lunch, before heading out for an evening game drive to watch the sunset. Return for dinner and leisure time in the evening.

After an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast at the lodge, head for Amboseli National Park. You will drive via the Shetani lava flow, and have a chance to stop and take some pictures. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive to spot lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, rhino and buffalo, among other exciting wildlife. Head back to your lodge in the evening for dinner and leisure time.

Today you will head to the incredible Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, for some spectacular views of Amboseli. The snowy mountain forms an incredible backdrop for wildlife spotting – bring your camera today to take superb pictures! Return for breakfast, and later on, lunch at the lodge, followed by another drive in the afternoon. Dinner will be served at the lodge in the evening, followed by leisure time.

After breakfast at the lodge, depart for Mombasa with a picnic lunch. Enjoy game viewing along the way, and stop off for lunch around midday. Reach Mombasa in the afternoon, and enjoy dinner and leisure time at Mombasa Serena Beach Hotel in the evening.

Today, relax by the pool or on the beach, catch a tan, take part in some fun water sports, and unwind after a busy last few days of game viewing.

Today you will head out for a full day dhow trip along the south coast of Mombasa. You will board a Swahili-type dhow boat and head out to sea. You will have the opportunity to go snorkeling, before docking on Wasini Island for lunch followed by an island tour. Head to Pine Wood Beach Hotel in the evening for dinner and leisure time.

You will spend the next three days at Baobab Beach resort situated along the exquisite Diani beach. Spend the last three days of your trip relaxing, soaking up the sun, taking part in water sports, and catching a tan.
