Day By Day Overview
Your safari starts with pick up at 7:30 am from your Nairobi hotel or airport and drive to Nakuru. You will stop for views of the Great Rift Valley then proceed to Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch and relax. At 4 pm head out on an evening game drive. This is home to hundreds of rhino, both black and white, as well as other wildlife and lots of bird life. After the game drive, we head back to lodge/camp to enjoy a freshly prepared dinner.
After breakfast, you will drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast range of wildlife including the Big Five and a rich cultural heritage to explore. Kenya’s Masai Mara is without doubt one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa. Between July and October things get busy in the Great Rift Valley. Millions of zebra and wildebeest make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. And in their wake comes a veritable horde of predators including lion and leopard. Arrive in time for lunch and then have time to relax. Later at about 4 pm depart for game drive. Return to the lodge/camp at approximately 6.30 pm for dinner and overnight stay.
Today’s itinerary is flexible and you can discuss with your guide and plan for the day’s schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for a full day’s game drive at around 7:30 am with picnic lunch. This will gives you a chance to visit the Mara river where the migration happens during this time. You have the chance to view wildlife all day and then return back to the lodge/camp late afternoon.
At 6 am head out on an early game drive returning to your accommodation for breakfast and relax for the morning until mid afternoon. Then at 4 pm head out for a game drive and return to the lodge at 6.30 pm for dinner and overnight stay.
Depending on your flight details you will organise with your guide your departure from Masai Mara. You will be transferred to your Nairobi location or to the airport for your home bound flight.
