Breakfast at 06h00 then your driver-guide will transfer you at 06h30 to Volcanoes National Park headquarters  for registration and briefing for your second experience with a different endangered species – golden monkeys. It is normally an easy trek which may take between 45 minutes and 2 hours. Golden monkeys are striking primates with their bright orange-gold fur contrasting with the green rain forests of the Virunga Mountains. Large and well-habituated groups mean the quality of sightings here is superb. There are two habituated groups of golden monkey, one group comprises around 80 members and has its home at the foot of Mt. Sabyinyo. Great photos and memories are to be had visiting these playful creatures, who seem very relaxed around humans. After this memorable experience, driver back to your hotel for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, which are located in Musanze very close to Volcanoes National Park. They are referred to as the twin lakes because they are interconnected at a point where one lake pours into the other. The lakes are located right at the foot of Mountain Sabyinyo, Muhabura, Bisoke and Gahinga. They are extremely beautiful, surrounded by the mountains and a stunning forest. The lakes are fishing grounds and this makes them important to the nearby local communities. Spend time enjoying the beauty of this scenic place. The whole view is very spectacular as majority of the farmlands are terraced. Drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
