Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where your driver guide will meet you. Have a briefing on your safari itinerary and settle into your hotel. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial which was set up back in 1994 to help newer generations learn about the inhuman incident that happened in Rwanda and left masses killed, for a sobering yet enlightening historical experience. Explore local craft markets and art galleries in Rwanda showing off the art crafts of the Rwanda people.
Depart for Volcanoes National Park, a 2.5-hour drive from Kigali. Enjoy the scenic drive where you will get a glimpse of Rwanda’s stunning landscapes, often called the ‘Land of a Thousand Hills’. Have an evening at leisure when you arrive at your lodge, relax as you prepare for your golden monkey trekking adventure.
On this day in the morning you will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and then later head to the park headquarters for a pre trek briefing. You will be briefed on the rules and regulations to follow for a great experience with these creatures in their natural habitat. Later you will be led by a ranger guide to the dense forest to find the beautiful creatures spend an unforgattable time with the monkeys in the wild. After the trek return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Wake up and have a delicious breakfast at the lodge as you get ready for your 3-hour drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to more than half of the world’s gorillas, for the special gorilla trekking experience. When you arrive at the park, check in your lodge and prepare for yet another experience in the afternoon – an optional activity of the Batwa experience. The Batwa lived with these creatures for decades before being relocated by the authorities to conserve the gorillas. Meet this indigenous group of people and enjoy getting to know about their history and their adaptability with the wild.
Today in the morning have breakfast at the lodge and then move to the park headquarters for a pre trek briefing where you will be told about the rules and regulations of trekking and you will be allocated a group. After the briefing begin your trek in the forest. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you navigate the rugged terrain to find the gorillas. Have a memorable encounter and spend an hour watching a gorilla family, observing their social behaviors and interactions. You’ll have a chance to take pictures and videos of the majestic creatures and thereafter return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
In the morning after breakfast at the Lodge you will depart from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On this 5 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park you will enjoy scenic views of the beautiful country side and tea plantations along the way and you will have your lunch enroute. Upon arrival check in at your lodge and later go for the evening game drive where you will have chance to see lots of animals like elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, Ugandakobs among others. Later return to the lodge for an overnight.
On this day, after an early morning breakfast, you will head back to the pack for an early morning drive which will give you chance to see more animals around the park in the Kisenyi plains which will give you an experience to watch the warm sunset in the pearl of Africa. In the afternoon after you have had your lunch you will head to Kazinga Channel for an experience on the waters that are home to the fascinating Hippos, Crocodiles and various bird species. As you cruise on the waters of the Kazinga Channel you also have a chance to look at the elephants and buffalos grazing on the shores of the Kazinga Channel. After the boat cruise return back to the Lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight

On this day after a morning breakfast at the lodge you will then set off to Kyambura Gorge for a guided Chimpanzee trek where you will have chance to encounter these energetic primates in their natural habitat. During the trek you will have chance to take photos and take videos of these beautiful, stubborn playful primates in the wild. After the trek check out the lodge and get ready for 3 hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi one of Uganda’s tranquil and beautiful lakes which is known as “place of little birds” , the deepest lake in Uganda. You will check in your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight as you enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

On this day after your breakfast, you will be helped by the tour guide to experience many optional activities such as the canoeing experience which will give you chance to look at the 29 islands on the lake which will give you and experience like never before, have a bird watching along the lake. Learn about the history and wonders of the lake an explore the islands especially “Akampene Island” which is also known as “The Punishment Island” where girls who got pregnant before marriage where taken as punishment and left their alone to die in the African Tradition society days before civilization.
In the evening relax at the Lake and enjoy a serene sunset. later go to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

On this final day of the safari, After breakfast, check out the lodge and enjoy a scenic morning 3 -4 hour drive back to Kigali, crossing the Uganda Rwanda border. You will have your lunch enroute, upon arrival in Kigali you will have a chance to take a city tour which will give you a clear glimpse of the most clean city in East Africa and get chance to have a clear view of the hills explore craft markets, go for shopping and buying souvenirs. Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your flight and end of 10 day Rwanda Uganda combined Safari.
