Day by Day Overview

Depart from your hotel and make your way towards Murchison Falls National Park. Arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with an opportunity to track and get really close to white rhinos allowing for amazing photos. Rhinos are an endangered species and this sanctuary is helping protect them. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park to your lodge for the evening.

Begin your exploration of the park with a game drive in the northern region of the park making your way across the beautiful open plains. An array of wildlife including leopard and elephant can be found here as well as many bird species for some spectacular bird viewing. In the afternoon you will enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River, making your way to the bottom of the thundering falls. A breathtaking experience allowing for further game viewing as you float past crocodiles and hippos. Return to your lodge for the evening.

In the morning you will make your way to Kibale National Park for your chimpanzee trekking experience. Enjoy a leisurely road-trip between these two reserves and take in the amazing scenery of the surrounding countryside. Make your way past the Great Rift Valley escarpment, beautiful  lakes and rural villages. Arrive at your lodge for the evening and be greeted by the blue monkeys and black/white colobus monkeys that live in the area.

Begin your trek as you search for Man’s closest cousins in the forest. The time to find the chimps will depend on the weather and where they were last seen but enjoy primate sightings along the way in the canopy above you. Once you find the chimps, observe them for an hour and watch their fascinating interactions with one another. After your expedition, enjoy some lunch and relax at your lodge before an evening walk around the park for some bird watching and to meet some of the locals.

Rise early and head towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. Make your way through the spectacular Rwenzori Muntain Range and enjoy the amazing scenery of East Africa.

Explore the park with a game as you search for the big five, various primates and over 600 species of birds. There are also many antelope species and also the iconic African Fish Eagle. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel connecting Lake Edward to Lake George. Watch animals as they drink at the waters edge for a unique game viewing experience. Later head to your lodge for some relaxing before dinner.

Travel to Lake Mutanda for yet another amazing experience in nature, passing the Kitagata hot-springs as you make your way through the foothills of the Virunga Mountain Range. The beauty of the lake cannot be described and it must be seen for yourself.

Make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a chance to see the magnificent mountain gorillas. Trek through the dense forest in search of these amazing creatures and experience the excitement when you discover them. You will be slightly anxious when you see how huge they are but will soon relax as you observe their gentle nature. Enjoy an hour of undisturbed joy as you sit with them before making your way back to your lodge. Relax at camp or take part in an optional nature walk or some bird watching.

Make your way to Kigali in Rwanda. On the way you will enjoy some scenic views of the rolling hills before entering the city. Visit the Genocide Memorial and enjoy a cultural tour of the local craft markets. Later make your way to your hotel for the evening.
