Day by Day Overview

In the morning you will make your way through the dramatic Great Rift Valley as you head towards the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, home to the great wildebeest migration and Africa’s big five. Enjoy lunch at your lodge before departing for an evening game drive. Later you will head back to the lodge for dinner.

Overnight at Olodare Mara Camp

Rise early to make the most of your only full day in the reserve. Enjoy some breakfast before heading out with a packed lunch, ensuring you can stay out all day. Search the vast grassland plains for the big cats as well as what they seek, the huge herds of antelope that roam the park. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve, an amazing experience in itself, before continuing your search. The reserve is teeming with animals and promises to deliver an array of exciting game viewing opportunities. After a full day, head back to your lodge for a well deserved dinner.

Overnight at Olodare Mara Camp

Today you will travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch, an exciting game drive is planned for the afternoon that promises to deliver magnificent bird watching that will impress even those who aren’t birders. The Park is home to thousands of flamingos that turn the lake pink and create amazing photographic opportunities. There are over 400 bird species including white pelicans and Marabou storks. It is also one of the very few places in Africa that you are still able to see the black and white rhino and the rare Rothschild giraffe.

Overnight at Punda Milia Camp/equivalent

Start your day with an early breakfast, followed by a final game drive for the chance to see some of animals drinking on the banks of the magnificent lake. Search for black and white rhinos, lions and many other spectacular creatures that inhabit the park. Return to the hotel for lunch before freshening up and departing for Nairobi. Arrive in the later afternoon after a short drive and be taken to your hotel or the airport, depending on your onward travel arrangements.
