Day by Day Overview

Absolute Holiday Safaris will arrange your pick up from your hotel or the airport and transfer you to our office to meet your driver guide for the start of your safari. After a briefing and introduction you will set off for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, via the view point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch and refueling. After lunch leave Narok and drive to the Masai Mara, arriving at the camp at around 2 pm. Check in and relax before proceeding for an afternoon game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver guide.

Dinner and overnight: Enkorok Mara Camp

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya with its extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Continue with game drive until 5 pm when there’s time for an optional visit to a Maasai village.

Dinner and overnight: Enkorok Mara Camp

A second day to experience the wonderful atmosphere unique to this national reserve while enjoying the game playing out their normal lives before your eyes. At the right time of year to see the migration more time will be spend near the Mara River.

Dinner and overnight: Enkorok Mara Camp

You will have an early morning game drive from 6-9.30 am, tracking the wild cats which inhabit this plain grassland as they hunt and kill very early in the morning. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Lake Nakuru, with lunch en route and scenic views of Mount Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway.

Dinner and overnight: Maili Saba Camp Nakuru

After breakfast in your hotel proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Later after lunch set off to Lake Baringo. Boat trips on the lake can be organised (at an extra cost) and are popular to view hippo, crocodile and bird life. A highlight is also visit to the Njemps tribal villages or watching them fishing from their frills papyrus boats.

Dinner and overnight: Budget Hotel

Breakfast in your hotel before proceeding to Lake Bogoria. Lying between Baringo and Nakuru, this soda lake is a favorite nesting site for flamingos and where hot sulphur springs abound. There is also a small herd of greater kudu. In the afternoon leave Bogoria with lunch en route and drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving late in the evening.

Dinner and overnight: Kibo Safari Camp

After breakfast at the lodge, leave with a picnic lunch for a full day game viewing. See the jumbo elephants of Amboseli amongst other great animals, some of them as they graze and bath on the swampy areas of Amboseli National Park. Have your picnic lunch at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro and continue with the game drive until 5 pm. Drive back to the lodge for any optional activities you might want to do or relax as you view Mount Kilimanjaro.

Dinner and overnight: Kibo Safari Camp

Early morning game viewing from 6.30-8.30 am before returning to the camp for a full breakfast. Later on drive back to Nairobi where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel .
