From USD 1,250 per person
Kickstart your safari with an early pickup from Entebbe International Airport or a hotel of your choice, then head towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way you will visit the equator point in Kayabwe town and have lunch en route at Mbarara town. After lunch, you will start your journey through Western Uganda and experience the beautiful hilly terrain covered by green vegetation. Upon arrival at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the long day comes to an end with a delicious dinner and overnight rest at your chosen camp or lodge.
Accommodation: Broadbill Forest Camp
After early morning breakfast, you will collect a packed lunch from your accommodation and head towards the briefing point where you will meet excellent local guides and trackers who will brief about the gorilla tracking. After that you will be taken to a spot where gorillas were sighted the previous night. From there you will start the trek, the duration of which is not definite – it could take around 2 hours or up to 7 hours depending upon the altitude and location of the gorilla family. The terrain is rough and muddy which requires basic physical fitness. Although the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery will make the trek worthwhile. It is recommended that you take plenty of water (2 to 3 litres) with you on the trek.
After the trek, you will head towards Lake Bunyonyi. The eventful day comes to an end with freshly prepared dinner and overnight rest at your chosen accommodation.
Accommodation: Bunyonyi Eco Lodge
After breakfast, you can choose to do community walk, canoe ride, boat ride, bicycle ride, bird watching, cray fishing or any other activity in Lake Bunyonyi by paying additionally at the accommodation. Post activities, the team will set out on a drive to Kampala. You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport or at your hotel in Kampala. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.
