Day by Day Overview
Having been received the previous day and transferred youto a luxury hotel in Kampala. for the night, this morning, after an early morning breakfast, you will head off to Kidepo Valley National Park along Masindi road. You will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the rhinos and have lunch here. Afterwards we will proceed to Kidepo, which ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses. Upon arrival, you will spend the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoying the wellness and fitness activities – swimming, spa, gym and massage.
Start with an early breakfast and then go for a game drive along the trails of Kidepo Valley. The park is home to one of the most exciting faunas of any Ugandan parks, with over 80 species of mammals several of which are endemic to Kidepo National Park like the cheetah, the striped hyena, the caracal, and over 465 bird species including ostriches.
In the afternoon visit the Karamojong village to learn more about their culture, food, music and dance. Karamoja has a cattle culture and the Karamojong are notorious as cattle raiders. Unlike most other Ugandans, many Karamojong shun western-style clothes and instead wear “traditional” dress of a blanket-like shawl, often in red and black. The women wear elaborate beadwork. Back at the hotel enjoy relaxing and swimming, spa, gym and massage.
Early in the morning after breakfast, we will then leave for Murchison Falls National Park through the northern sector with lunch along the way. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls, the centre piece of the park and final event in an 80km stretch of rapids. The mighty cascade drains the last of the river’s energy, transforming it into a broad, placid stream that flows quietly across the rift valley floor into Lake Albert.
There are a lot of animals to see on your way to the lodge through the park such as elephants, giraffes and buffaloes, while hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds are permanent residents. Upon arrival back at the lodge, you will spend the rest of the evening relaxing and engaging in the fitness and wellness activities.
Early morning the boat will take us downstream to the delta. The place where the Nile enters Lake Albert. This trip of 5-6 hours will show us all the beauty of this national park especially the delta with all the different birds. Here is a good chance to see the elusive shoebill stork.
In the afternoon is a visit to the top of the falls, a wonderful view. Also we can arrange a water raft on Victoria Nile. You will spend the rest of the evening relaxing and engaging in the following fitness and wellness activities that is swimming, spa, gym and massage.
Early morning departure for the journey to Kibaale Forest. We will pass close to Lake Albert, on a clear day the view from the top of the Albert rift is spectacular. In the afternoon we will arrive at Kibale forest where you will spend the evening relaxing before you sleep with the noises of the tropical rainforest around you.
At 8am, we will start with the 4-hour chimp walk. In addition, 10 other primates may be seen. The park is also known for its butterflies and birds. In the afternoon enjoy a walk through Bigodi swamp. You will spend the rest of the evening relaxing and engaging in the fitness and wellness activities – swimming, spa, gym and massage.
Early morning departure for Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal . We reach Mweya at midday in Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stunning beautiful view over Kazinga channel. On arrival, enjoy a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga channel where we will see many animals from the waterside. Afterwards a late afternoon game drive will be conducted. Enjoy a relaxing evening at the lodge.
Enjoy a day in this beautiful park; very early in the morning after breakfast we go to Kyambura Gorge. Here you can go for 3-4 hour walk in to the gorge to look for the chimpanzees. After the gorge will drive to the Ishasha sector and have an late afternoon game drive in search of the tree climbing lions.
In the morning, we leave for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic route runs through a verdant countryside while you pass traditional homesteads and farms. Upon arrival, You will spend the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoying the fitness and wellness activities.
This is the day of gorilla tracking! At 7.45am you will be at the office of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for pre-briefing and at 8.30am you will start the trek after finding the gorillas you will spend with maximum 1 hour. All visitors are expected back to the starting point by 7pm. The walks can take 3-9 hours depending on where you find the gorillas. It is a real hiking and being physically fit is recommended. You will spend the rest of the evening at the lodge enjoying the facilities.

You will then spend the rest of the evening at the lodge having a relaxing evening and enjoying the swimming pool, spa and gym.
After breakfast, the last part of the journey will bring us back to Kampala. We will stop in Mbarara for lunch and then continue, after Masaka town we will stop at the equator for a tea/coffee break and buying souvenirs. We will bring you back to hotel of your choice in Kampala for overnight. If you are continuing your journey somewhere else or back home, we will bring you to the airport for check in.
