You’ll be picked up at 0700 for the drive north to Samburu National Reserve, arriving around 1300 for lunch. Afterwards enjoy an afternoon game drive looking for the park’s famous residents including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, oryx and wealth of big game such as elephant and lion. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Early rise for a wonderful morning game drive in the Samburu National Park before breakfast at Samburu Serena Lodge. Afternoon at leisure for more game viewing or relaxing at the lodge. Overnight at a lodge.
Today you drive to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary in time for lunch at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp. The rest of the day is free for optional activities such as game viewing, walking safaris, horse back riding or night game drives. Overnight at a lodge.
As you journey southwest today, stop at the impressive Nyahururu Falls, formerly Thompson’s Falls, and then travel along the magnificent Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru, renowned for its vast population of pink flamingos. Drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s finest rhino sanctuaries and admire the flamingos and other abundant birds along the lake shoreline. Arrive at your lodge overlooking the lake.
Traverse the Rift Valley en route to the fabled Masai Mara National Reserve, rich with wildlife, birds, natural flora and stunning scenic beauty. Arrive at your lodge for lunch and afternoon game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge
Two days are spent exploring Kenya’s most popular park, famed for the annual wildebeest migration which takes place from July to October. The Masai Mara National Reserve is the northern extension of Tanzania’s famous Serengeti Plains, Kenya’s premier place to see wildlife and home to a thriving population of predators such as lion and cheetah, as well as hippo, crocodile, zebra, giraffe, elephant, wildebeest and impala. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge/luxury tented camp.
Enjoy a morning game drive before breakfast at the lodge. Leave the park and drive to Nairobi where the safari ends.
