Day by Day Overview
Today arrive into Nairobi to a warm welcome by our representative. Proceed for drop off at the iconic 5 star Sarova Stanley Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure using the hotel facilities or you can explore the city of Nairobi time permitting.
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a full safari briefing. Afterwards you will be dropped off at Wilson Airport for your 45 mins scheduled flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will be assisted by our representative through the check in process. Upon arrival into Maasai Mara, you’ll receive a warm welcome by our driver guide who will transfer you to the camp for check in and lunch. Later on proceed for your afternoon game viewing drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
After breakfast at the camp proceed for your full day game viewing drive in the reserve with picnic lunch boxes. Witness the Mara River crossing activity, considered the climax of the migration period, which will take you through a range of emotions: anticipation, heartache, inspiration, excitement and so much more. The sheer sight of the first herds of animals rushing into the crocodile-infested river will make you long for this wildebeest migration every year. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Early morning wake up call then you’ll be picked and proceed for an exciting hot balloon safari experience. Depending on the weather conditions, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you watch the balloons being prepared for take-off. Your pilot will give a safety briefing as well as explain what you can expect during the flight. There are basic toilet facilities available at the launch site. The balloon crew will assist as you clamber into your balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise, at about 6:30 am. As you rise the Maasai Mara plains opens up before your eyes in the golden sunrise, with enchanting scenery and plains game below, as the winds gently blows the basket deeper into the reserve. After the experience, enjoy a full bush breakfast complete with champagne. Later connect with your driver and proceed for your full day game viewing drive in the reserve with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Breakfast at the camp then you will be transferred to the airstrip for your return scheduled flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival into Nairobi, you’ll be met by one of our representative for a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport to connect with your flight back home.
