After a stopover lunch at the lodge/tented camp we enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge in the evening for a sun downer and dinner. With the majestic backdrop of Mt. After a dawn game drive, we return to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the morning is spent at leisure or by the swimming pool. Lunch and final game drive in the late afternoon beneath the snow capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. At 329 sq km Amboseli is a small park and lacks the profusion of animal species found in the Masai Mara National Reserve, but the landscape provides limited cover so we have better chances of seeing some of the larger predators. You also have the option of visiting a Masai village. Dinner and overnight back at the lodge or tented camp.

It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal as well as cheetahs and leopards which are harder to spot.
