An exhilarating, luxurious safari to three of the planet’s richest animal kingdoms: the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Serengeti National Park. We bow to the fact that many of us are firmly engaged in a very busy world, a world in which time away from the busyness is precious. And so we offer this luxury safari all in a mere but marvelous seven days.
From USD 2,700 per person
An approximate two-hour drive will take you from Arusha to the Tarangire National Park. The park is best known for its elephant herds, savannah, baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes, bushbucks and hartebeests are often seen. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the fringe-eared oryx or the weird-looking gerenuk. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen every once in a while but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals.
After a delicious breakfast, we will check out from our lodge and drive towards the world’s famous park, the Serengeti National Park, You can look forward to many new wildlife sightings during your game drives as no day on safari is the same. You spend the following three nights at the Tanzania Bush Camps. Depending on the season, you will either stay one night in the central Serengeti and two nights in the northern Serengeti (June – October) or the southern Serengeti (January – March), or you stay all two nights in the central Serengeti (November – December & April – May). After an extensive game drive, your driver will drive back to the camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Today is all about the Serengeti. Together with your guide, you scout for animals in this pristine corner of the world. You are in no rush and have plenty of time to observe the park’s wildlife and learn about animal behavior as well as their social structures. The Serengeti National Park is the third largest park in Tanzania and is stunningly beautiful. While the landscape in the south is characterized by open grassland as far as you can see, open woodlands and hills are predominant in the north and west. Together with the Masai Mara, the Serengeti is host to the Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras, one of the greatest shows on earth. Your home is one of the Tanzania Bush Camps. In order to increase your chances of witnessing the Great Migration, we choose your route and the order of camps according to your time of travel.
Today after breakfast, you will proceed with the game en route heading to Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive in the late evening and check in to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Rise and shine! After an early breakfast you will drive down the steep path into the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest, unbroken, and unflooded caldera in the world and it has an unbelievable diversity of wildlife. In addition to zebras and wildebeests, you might also spot the rare black rhino and other members of the Big Five. The crater is also home to other animals such as hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, eland, and more than 500 bird species. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will leave the caldera in the afternoon and drive to Karatu town for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
After a short briefing in the morning, you will travel westwards to the small Lake Manyara National Park. The park with its shallow alkaline lake is known for its over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests (look out for the long-tailed Guenon monkeys), and grassy plains. A large area of the park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara which is home to colonies of flamingos and other water birds. Apart from elephants, you might also spot giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, and impalas while the forests near the lake are teeming with noisy groups of monkeys and baboons. From the pop-up roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the sights and sounds of nature. In the late afternoon, you will leave Lake Manyara National Park and head back to Arusha.
Today, we will escort you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for the flight back home.
